stupid windows stopped allowing my 3d program to work so now i am having a really hard time painting cars and getting things to line up. i need it to utilize .obj as well as the ones for nascar racing . anyone have any ideas.

Sound like the only to fix that problem is to run a windows repair install

i'm running crappy vista if that helps. also i can't get nr2003 to run either i can get into the program and stuff but if i try to race or practice it crashes. man this is annoying.

Be specific please. If it is what I think it is you'll be laughing at how easy a fix it is.

ok the program was ac3d and when i try to start it a window pops up saying "ac3d has stopped working" and that windows is trying to find a solution to the problem and the nascar racing 2003 problem has the same thing happen but when i click for it to close the program a help window pops up saying something about data execution prevention but when i follow the steps to correct it it says that i am not allowed to chand the data execution setting for that program. man this is annoying

You probably have to disable DEP for the entire computer. Just google search for Disabling DEP, and you should be able to find a link to the instructions. In the case of NR2003, just trying to disable it for the program will not work. DEP needs to be disabled for the entire system.

Incidentally, there is NOT a single thing wrong with Vista....
Vista got a bad wrap, yes...but it was more or less the hardware manufacturer's fault that Vista ran so poorly in it's initial stages...because the Vendors were so damn slow and hard headed about writing correct and proper hardware drivers. Once they got off thier holier than though behinds....and once Vista SP 1 was released to fix a few problems (ex. network transfer speeds)...Vista really started to take off.
