I have painted a lot of cars over the past 2 years, Im still working on making Bases and havent gotten it quite down yet so I still use some great pre-made bases.

Well enough rambling, on to the cars!

I painted these last night while watching the Bathurst 1000.

Version 1 with White Spoiler

Version 2 with Black Spoiler. I thought it looked better.

Like how you used the same base, but added a little something special to the different schemes.

The numbers should be tilted a tad to straighten them out. But overall, B.

Yeah I did that because of the cars in the V8 series. How they use the same base sometimes but with different sponsors. The numbers are slanted back a tad because its a Joe Gibbs Racing car and I tried to slant them to match the other cars in the stable without making it look weird.

I always like seeing new painters improve over time. Will be exciting to see you start using your own bases. Once you get it down man you'll never want to use anything pre-made ever again. It's the most satisfying thing (at least for me) when painting cars.

Don't be afraid to post some of your wip bases, we all started from somewhere, the community will always be helpful in your road to custom base making =) Good luck and look forward to seeing your skills develop in this thread :)

Well onto the Gen6's. These are the three cars I am running in Season 5 of my Offline League. Not doing too hot this year, 20 somethings in points, 2 top 10s only 15 laps led this year and no wins. Hopefully I get something here in the chase which is the next race.

Hope to paint some fictionals for NASCAR Drivers here soon. Have lots of ideas.

Mystical is very correct... if you were to see where I started (won't even go there)?
The point, "if your new cars looked like your old cars then how would you measure your improvement?" Life, for me, is about the gratification of being able to distinguish the past from the present and knowing the future holds even more. Dive in and start playing! You have great graphic proportions and color balance in your paints... and you can translate those skills to your bases and experience complete satisfaction. Good Luck!

Okay, my first real life driver fictional. My first (public) base, I have thought of doing many different bases for this scheme but in the end, since Furniture Row is simple I kept the base simple.

Here is a OTC Markets fictional for Kurt Busch. OTC Markets does stocks of Over The Counter drugs, hence why I chose a stock market rise and fall base for this scheme. Their logo is mainly a grayish color which is why the base is gray and not full black. Without further adieu....

Thanks a bunch man, its feels awesome knowing that people like the cars I am putting together. More motivation to think of different cars and schemes to paint!

Was playing Dirt To Daytona last night and had a few Biffle ideas hit me. So I put down my controller and picked up my mouse lol.

LOOSELY based on his TNT car from 2002.

Man its been over a year! Didnt think it'd been that long!

Here is a Retro for Kenseth from the Bud Shootout. A little modernized. Not meant to be an EXACT replica.

There are some things I need to fix, but they will happen before release.

Any Suggestions?

Here is Smirnoff. While I know that 'Drink Smart' is from another brand I felt that it went with the Smirnoff logo better than me creating "Be Smart. Drink Responsibly" I liked the way it turn out. Even made a v2 with just 'Drink Smart' on the rear.

The Post car is up at NNRacing. This one will be up within the week!
