Stay safe today for those of you in Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio. Damaging winds, Violent tornadoes, and large hail LIKELY.

Below is Today's convective outlook, along with some tornado safety information, and the first tornado watch of the day.

The tornado watch is a Particularly Dangerous Situation watch.

Use this thread to discuss, particularly if you live in the areas affected and share what you experience today as well (but preferably after things have passed).

Nice to see a fellow weather tracker on the boards...yeah it's looking to be a bit of a mess today. I'm in Evansville, IN, right on the edge of where the worst is supposed to hit on the southwest side of the state. This is what I'll be watching all day. Red dot on the map on the Evansville name is my exact location.

Debris ball on radar NE of Peoria. If this continues on this track it'll be SE of Joliet in about an hour to hour and a half....

I follow Simon Brewer, Justin Drake, & Brian Neudorff aka the Nascar weather man and some of the pictures they retweeted are absolutely heartbreaking thoughts and prayers go out to everybody affected. Weather like this absolutely worries me.

I made it through ok here in Evansville, but north and south of me about 30-40 miles each direction got hit pretty good too.

You can see here these little red dots are tornado reports, blue is wind, and the little red + sign is me. Still rough down south from me, so for anyone east of me, it's coming. Be prepared!

It's been raining since bout 3 o'clock here in Metro Detroit, looks like I need to keep observant through out the night. Just typical mid-western weather!

Storms are moving into the Detroit area now. Severe storm warnings lining up from near Alpena to near the IN/KY state line. Tornado threat in Michigan looks low. Still rather high in Ohio, and Kentucky

The county under the county with flint in it is where I live, the clouds are crazy looking and the sky is filled with lightning!!!
