Keep in mind I'm a Kyle fan when I say this:

Did Newman really flat wreck him? From the replay I saw, he just got him aero loose. Just drove up on his bumper and air did the rest. I could be wrong seeing as though it's been a while since I saw a replay.

That's the way I saw it at least. It looked more like a racing incident than a payback sorta thing to me.

looked like the typical Newman overly aggressive style of racing. Dont take that the wrong way, I like it. I have always heard others drivers complain about passing him though.

Well, Kyle made it sound like a big deal, but he was already loose when Newman "tagged" him.

Guessing there's more to the story, but we have to hear what Newman has to say about this. All I'm saying that the wreck nearly screwed the whole championship picture up.

I think it was a little of both. When Newman closed in on Busch, it definitely got Busch loose. But Newman also followed through and punted him.

Would Busch still have lost it without the contact? No way of knowing for sure. So in my opinion, we cant really go on what mightve happened if something else happened that didnt happen. All we can go on is what DID happen. And that was Busch going around after Newman punted him.

Not really Kansas-related, but I did not want to create a separate thread for this since this thread was already up (credit to Jayski):

#49 team up for auction:
Gavel Auction is scheduled to hold an auction of the complete assets of the #49 Robinson-Blakeney / American Israel team on October 30, 2012, including race cars, engines, hauler, EFI systems, shop equipment, pit road boxes and more.

Looks like the long-inactive #49 team is finally hitting the auction block due to their financial woes.

How long was the #49 inactive? I thought they tried to make the race last week. It's sad to for to see since they were the "underdog" I was really pulling for but I am not surprised at all.

Well, Jayski's last update on them was for the Sonoma race, so I figured that they had not been active recently (since I didn't follow the team or took notice of them on-track)
EDIT: did some digging around. They last attempted at Bristol (see below in last Jayski update for team):

After taking Indy and Pocono off, the #49 team ran at Watkins Glen with Leffler listed as the driver and the crew chief as Scott Eggleston, but skipped Michigan and will run Bristol (8-19-2012).

I'd get rid of my low budget race team too if Jason Leffler was my driver.

After Bristol:

Atlanta
Richmond (not entered)
Chicagoland (DNQ)
New Hampshire (DNQ)
Dover (DNQ)
Talladega (not enterned)
Charlotte (not enterned)
Kansas (not enterned)

Atlanta was their last race and Dover was the last race they attempted.

$25 and they have to strip off that ugly paint scheme
