What a race, from the crashes (Boat's flip, the near-double flip of the #32 and #99) to the dominating performance from Bowman, this ARCA race was a blast. XD

Congrats to Chris Buescher on picking up the 2012 ARCA Championship (y)

Only in ARCA will you see cars taking off on a 1.5-miler.

Tho, that doesn't mean that it couldn't happen in the NASCAR tier series, too.

As for the person wondering why cars flip the way they do. It is part physics, part geometry and part math. I am not sure I can give a 100% accurate reason. As i am not a math wiz or, a science wiz. But if your in high school. Open up your math book and science book. It will tell you every thing you need to know.

I just have to say, I'm thinking its about time John Wes Townley hangs it up. I dont think I've ever seen anyone who tears up cars as often as he does. And I think tonight seals the deal. Even stepping down to ARCA and having one of the best cars on the track, he still finds a way to wreck it. And it was completely his own doing. With all the experience he has in Nationwide and trucks, there is absolutely no reason that shouldve gone down the way it did tonight. It just shouldnt have happened.

I think he's demonstrated very well that he doesnt belong in a race car at these levels. He has no perception whatsoever of where the line is (or he isnt concerned with it, which would be just as bad). Its like he thinks hes sim racing or something, and can just hit the reset button. Whatever that thought process is in his head, it makes him nothing more than a liability when he's on the track.

I sure hope these race teams that field him, put some kind of clause in the contract that says daddy has to pay for any equipment he tears up.

I think the racing today was more a product of the Arca cars, not exactly the track. We will see how the Cup and Nationwide races are.

Most-likely a combination of both.

The track is faster now and there is a significant lack of grip on top of it. Those factors played a major role in both Earnhardt Jr, and Hamlin's crashes, and you could see how it influenced the racing tonight.

Yeah if you step down to ARCA with a dominant car and still wreck, maybe he should quit racing.

Yeah, I'm thinking there will be about 2-3 cautions, mostly for debris.

Don't forget another 2-3 cautions in the Nationwide race for Brad Sweet...I don't think he's done wrecking yet for the weekend.

Let off Townley a little.
In my honest opinion. I think he's improving at his racing.
(Don't DARE to make any crash jokes because i'm being serious about him improving)

I agree, he has made tremendous strides in his overall racing ability, but, he does need to stop tearing up equipment.

Townley has made a lot of progress. He still tears up some stuff but not as bad as he used to. He should stay in ARCA next year, or trucks, for a full year and make his way up through the ranks. He is a valuable asset to any team if he can drive AND bring sponsorship.

Yet he still wrecks just about everything he steps into. Running second or third for a while in a truck or ARCA car is great for his confidence, but still finding a way to destroy that same vehicle before the checkered flag doesn't exactly help the image. At the end of the day, John Wes Townley is still tearing up way too many race cars.

Exactly.

The stats speak or themselves. He can lead 199 laps out of a 200 lap race and wreck his ride on the last lap and finish last, that doesn't really help anything. He's got to finish races in one piece before he can improve on anything.

Damn it. Brian Scott goes around going to pass some lap traffic. Was right on Logano's bumper. Top 4 was within half a second. I like this racing a lot so far.
