How do I render with Vista

Im trying to render a truck in 3dsmax9. I have everything. Brazil but every time I try and render I get an error saying that it could not get my License info ???

If you are indeed a valid Brazil user, then you can contact Splutterfish for the updated License Manager and all will be solved.

The problem with Vista is the new code put in. If you want something that worked on XP to work in vista (and it doesn't run on vista), you have to put the program in compatibility mode. I've had success with running older programs in Windows 7, but not Vista. It's always worth a shot though.

To see if your license manager is running, you should go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services and look for the Brazil License Manager and make sure it's started. If not, that's why you can't get your license.


BTW: If you just want to render a truck in a simple scene, Brazil Rio V2 is a good alternative and it works on Vista. The maximum render size is 1024x511, but that's easily big enough for most single car/truck renders. (For single cars my size is usually 640x480)
