I've been messing around with this for a while and can't find a good balance.

I use Masgrafx Ratings and have tried subtracting 10 from the min. & adding 10 to the maximum...

I just want some varied results. I know some people have figured out a way to do this so please help.

Thanks :)

Nobody? I know it's only been a bit but I figured I'd have an answer by now.

I know a lot of guys simulate seasons and such so I was hoping someone who watches or does this could help me how to get more variable results..

Well, it depends...are you using a fictional carset or a real carset?

Here's the way I do it: I list all the drivers in my roster and give them a grade of A+, A, A-, B+ and so on til I'm satisfied. I then start with the A+ drivers and set them all at the same aerodynamics, for instance, 50-75, and approximately the same chassis and engine (50-60), and then adjust individual driver ratings accordingly. Then I stagger on down the line with the car ratings.

I know this is probably the same thing you are already doing, but one thing you could possibly change is the qualifying effort of the drivers. Those with the high ratings, my A+, A, A-, all have reduced qualifying so they do not get the poles for all the races. For instance, A+ drivers have a qualifying range of 0-30, while the worst rated drivers have a range of 0-100. This creates varied starting grid results, and (I feel) creates some better racing in the middle and back of the pack because of the better cars/drivers racing against the less rated cars/drivers.

Not sure if this helps, but any more questions or suggestions just ask...
