is there anyway of getting the back end to kick out? for me its like impossible to do in the game.

Try dropping the left rear track bar and increasing the right rear track bar. Once i discovered this, i was never too tight again. It will make your car loose off the corner, so you can get on the throttle harder without pancaking the wall.

Also, I have found out that I like running the middle through the corner, then drive down the hill to the bottom groove off the corner.

Ah, diamond-ing the corners? Best racing maneuver in the world, IMO.

Anyway, I like my cars loose in, loose out, comfortable in the center.

Yeah, exactly. I recently found a banked version of Phoenix, and that maneuver works to perfection. I enter in low, drift to the middle, and drive down onto the apron off the corner.

On the rare occassions that I do race online (pretty much only during the winter), I usually run the SBP custom setups, loosened up just a little bit with slightly more acceleration. Richmond and Lowe's are probably my two best tracks, can run anywhere really. I can remember racing one of my friends at Lowe's side by side for the final 30 laps, myself on the outside. Probably the most fun I've had in a racing game (doesn't hurt that I nosed ahead on the last lap ;) )

I'm not great at racing on a computer though, there's no feeling what the car is doing through the seat and pedals, and you have to push a button to check your peripheral vision. As soon as I have to push a button while driving I'm toast. If I had the money for one of those fancy racing seats that you can plug in I'd probably spend it on something less superfluous anyway, like some blonde whose name I most likely wouldn't remember shortly thereafter anyway. Lol.

I prefere running the middle to low lines where ever i go. i want to fell the car through the steering wheel, just right entering, a tick loose in the center, and barely tight off. the only time i would run the high line is at tona or dega and only getting into 1 and 3 at Mich and Cali.

I don't know if I would say I like mine loose as much as just a touch on the free side all the way thru.

It's more of a slight yaw, especially going in. Not so much that I even have to counter steer and it's not about to spin out but it's just a bit more free than neutral. It's a sweet spot. Hard to find but I feel it and know it when I get it.

Most common place I get that "sweet spot" is Martinsville, New Hampshire, and Phoenix. Those tracks I love to trail brake going into the turns, just rotating the car enough to get it pointed for a good exit and able to get to the throttle asap.

Lately, I have done some study on caster and it has worked wonders for my setups. To me, caster makes more of a change for turn entry and turn exit than any adjustment I have found so far.

for me a loose car is always a good car, as long as it doesn't get too loose :twitcy:
I always try to run the bottom, maybe that's from my EA Sports days

Bottom tends to be the fastest way around tracks, but its fun when you can move up a groove and switch things up, done it a lot of times at Atl, Lowes, Texas, Chicago, and Mich. Surprisingly, Bristol, Richmond, Phoenix, and New Hampshire have decent high grooves as well, I wouldn't run up there all race, but I'd try to make passes up there sometimes.

For me I like loose in, roll through the corner, loose off. My line is up to the wall on the straightaways, and to the yellow line on the corners and tri-ovals at the apex of the turn, except for Daytona/Talladega, then It's wherever my car will handle, I set up to be good in the draft. I tweak the VH setups for my driving style.
