I tend to average it out to 80-100 laps per track, or for tracks bigger than 2 miles, 100 miles per track (So, 50 laps at Michigan)

I run my races at 100% of whatever the amount of laps run in that specific race. So if a race has a GWC with 5 extra laps. Then I would run those 5 extra laps and also throw the caution to have a GWC in the game. I also like to have the same number of cautions so I write down the when they occur in real life and throw them in the game. But if I get a caution from the game what I do is I have it replace the next caution I have on my list except if that caution is for a GWC.

I also like the realism so I have my ratings and ai set so that the cars that started and parked will have problems in the race and "park". I also like to make sure the cars in the championship to have the correct points in the end of the season so that way I won't win or lose the championship on dumb luck. So I was either better or worse that them in real life. So I will manually make some changes to get them to the correct amount of points. This year I manually change the points to take out the guys that aren't running for that championship, like Carl in NNS, or Harvick in NNS and NCWTS.

I also keep track of the owner's point. This is important because I like to run qualifying with everyone having a chance even if they missed the race. So I'll edit the ratings with NRatings for qualifying and manually edit them for drivers that DNQ since I can't import them with NRatings. The owners points come into play with the different results effecting on who is locked in and such.

I've been doing this for the past few years but it wasn't until the 2009 season that I was actually able to run a complete season. That season I ran double duty on both the ARCA and Truck series circuits with a few fill in tracks for ARCA tracks not out there. With the double duty I will miss qualifying and practice so I like to treat it like real life and start at the rear of the field for missing qualifying and the only laps I have on the track is the qualifying lap for save game editor

Then I kind of got sidelined with my last year of college and got behind with the 2010 season. But I ran the entire Truck series schedule, most of the ARCA series schedule except for Berlin which was run at the same time as the Truck race at Nashville. For that race I had a fill in driver for myself and I ran as a start and parker and parked it and then just watched the race bringing out the cautions when needed. I decide that I wanted to jump up to NNS since I was getting pretty good at the Trucks. So I also ran 7 NNS races at ORP, Iowa, Bristol, Atlanta, Kansas, Texas, and Homestead to prepare for 2011.

I ended finishing up 2010 last October. Then I started on 2011 Homestead weekend. I'm running the full 34 race NNS schedule plus about 20 Trucks races and the opening ARCA race at Daytona. For the rest of the ARCA schedule I'm having Steve Arpin drive my car and I'm having different drivers fill in for me in the 5 Truck races I'm not running. Then I do what I did for the Berlin race with being a start and parker and watching the race for those races. I also expanded my ARCA team, I try to pick a younger driver that needs experience. I try to be like Venturini Motorsports in that sense. I also started a 2nd Truck team that I've had different drivers in. I've had a few Cup drivers, a few Nationwide drivers, and then young and out of work drivers in. I've had Johanna Long drive it for a couple of the races she wasn't in. As I said I started this season on Homestead weekend and I'm now at the NNS race at Watkins Glen in August.

Most of the Truck and ARCA races weren't too bad they run from an hour to 2 hours for most with around and hour and a half being what most of them end up at. But the Nationwide have ended up taking at about a minimum of 2 hours for most with a few being shorter than that. But the Talladega, and Road America races were brutal. Those took about 3 hours of racing time and about 4 hours total with a few breaks here and there.

Sorry for making that a book. I just kind of got going and didn't realize how much I wrote.
