Need a bit more info to diagnose what's happened, what track are you running when you get bad frames and have you changed anything else when you installed the mod?

Also what are the specs on your system?

A couple of hints:
-use 16 bits colour depth instead of 32
-disable Anti Aliasing via the utility of your videocard
-disable infield objects when in race
-switch opponent pit crews to low quality or completely switch them off
-lower distance of view
-lower the number of drawn opponent cars
-lower display resolution
-use low-res (1024x1024 texture size) cars insted of high-res (2048x2048)

Pretty much exactly what I would've said, only thing I'd add is if you're still getting poor fps once you've done all that, start a race at the back of the field and systematically switch all the graphic options down one at a tome till you find the culprit that's eating up your fps. Usually the trackside objects and shadows are a good place to look. I know it sucks to cut down on detail and go lo-res for your cars, but it beats super detailed-super slow :lol:

Hope you get it working man.

If that doesn't help much then it could come down to your GPU. Looks like you're running on a dedicated GPU.

You'll need to access stuff like that via your desktop control panel or right click on your desktop and jump into Personalize - Display Settings then it's just a matter of tinkering with it till you get the fps to where you need it to be, lots of back and forth between your desktop and the game, but once it's done you'll be set for life :spinny:

Also wanted to mention you should try to reduce the number of additional programs you have running while you're playing, try EndItAll and see if that buys you some fps.

End-It-All 2 - tool quickly and easily closes all or selected running programs

I had a few problems at 1st trying to get my FPS up!
1st id advise trying some of my settings if your games looking blurry or your FPS is extremely low, the last couple of days ive been experimenting with hundreds of settings and now believe i have mastered it!

Heres my core.ini settings feel free to use:

[FileLRUCache]
CacheSize=14194304
MaxBlockSize=524288 ; max size before allocating separate block.
minPhsyMemWontUse=0 ; amount of physical memory to leave for the system.
NumEmptyPools=3 ; max # of pools to leave empty
PoolSize=2097152

(Ive noticed that if the MaxBlockSize is the same as the PoolSize you drop 10fps ingame for some reason or at least i did So i advise leaving PoolSize alone or put it up to 2097152 if you can spare the ram)

Also heres my rend_dxg.ini settings:

PolyRate=868.25
AnisotropicLevel=0
TextureSetSize=820085504
BitsPerPixel=32
TestedFullScreen=1
Height=768
Width=1024

I also went into the NVIDIA Control Panel go to program settings add your NR2003.exe (from the program files or my documents folder or wherever you installed it)
And did a few tweaks heres what i did!
Vertical syn (use the 3D application) HIGH QUALITY
Texture Fktering - Anisotropc Sample... on
Texture Filtering Quality HIGH QUALITY
Anisotropic filtering 8X
Antialiasing Gamma Correction (off)
Antialiasing mode (override any applicato....
Antialiasing setting Use global setting (4X)
Antialiasing Transparency (off)

Also where it says adjust image settings with preview (on the 3D settings NVIDIA Control panel) put it all the way up to quality!

These settings work beautifully for me but YES it took alot of time to get it all looking and working perfectly, now the game looks lush even the replay screen looks smooth and cars dont look blury and you can see the shine on the cars from the sun onto the metallic-ish body work, it really lets you appreciate the car skins!

This may not work for everyone because...
I do have a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ 2.51 GHz, 3.00 GB of Ram,
and a ZOTAC GeForce 9800GT 1GB of GDDR3 (Synergy Edition)

But if you do have a similar spec Machine and card give it a try, im sure you wont be disappointed.. hope i was of some help to you!

lol readings the best food for the mind my friend,:twitcy:
But seriously if i could make a video for you i would but unfortunately im not very good with video editing software or just making videos in general! plus im banned from pootube (youtube) and a few other video streaming websites for reasons i dont want to talk about,

Anyway if you change your mind and want to find out what else can improve the game and experience this is a good read and very good help also....

If you use an AMD processor (I'm not sure if this will work with Intel chips) check this out. I run this before every race and it speeds up the game quite considerably. It basically shuts all your nonessential programs down and devotes resources to the game.

AMD Fusion Utility

You'll want to run the Fusion program and then run a profile. When you first open Fusion you should see a round graphic with the AMD logo. Click on the gear icon which puts you into Advanced Mode. Click on one of the profiles, Max Performance being the best one, and then click Run Profile. The program will then do its thing. Keep Fusion open, because closing it will revert your system back to its normal state. Then run NR2003 and enjoy the performance boost.
