I saw a video once of a race at Talladega where all the cars were running in a pack and I was wondering how do I get it to be like that? Usually when I try to do a race the top 2 cars usually just draft away from the pack and the physics are just kinda weird, is there anything I could change in the .ini file or anything like that to make the racing more realistic?

Change the ini is what you need to do. You cant change the physics that would mean changing the exe.

^That helped a lot. You can lower the ai_drafting_distance to make the cars race closer together.

I didn't literally mean physics, I meant more of how the cars would get this crazy amount of draft off each other for some weird reason, sorry for the misunderstanding. But what do I need to change in the .ini?

I just saw markmartin5's post after I posted this, thanks I'll try it out and see if it works.

Also if it is the same 2 cars drafting away every time, check their ratings. Usually guys with 100 ratings go faster then guys with 60.... even on Superspeedways.

It's not the same 2 cars, just like 2 cars that start upfront would just get an insane amount of draft and pull away and then the field would get very spread out.

i would lower the in i's drafting distance but play around with it too low and they begin to bump draft and they will not let up in the corners causing massive wrecks withing two laps

Hey man, I can save ya the work lol.

I do research on all the tracks and series, and i take alot of time to edit the INI's to run accurately to what they were at the most recent race at that specific track.

If you have any questions or requests, just get ahold of me.

Thanks man

Track ini's help but ratings also have a big factor with that. You could have the best track ini for Daytona where there is 3 wide racing the whole pack but if you don't have good ratings (40-60 cars) with an entire car set, it's gonna be easy and boring for you as the driver.
