How to not fix damage when pitting

When I'm about to pit, I go to the pit summary box, select damage and it says YES, and no matter what arrow I hit, it always stays on YES. I can change grille tape, tires, and everything, I just can't deselect fix damage. It costs me 5 seconds in pit time, causing me to get lapped (Short track late model racing).

Press the spacebar on the pit summary menu. That should toggle the damage repairs yes/no.

It's so annoying those things... I was in 1st position, 8 seconds in front of the No.2 car, I pitted, made a pitstop of 30 seconds for damage repair and got out 41st, a lap down...
