So went into Walmart today to grab some last minute things (snacks mostly...my fatass needs to survive this haha)...it was mobbed...like beyond mobbed. Like people elbowing others to get to things that there are plenty of mobbed. This storm has everyone in panic mode.

Hurricane + Wal-Mart = Hell Breaking Loose. O_O

Good thing it's not coming this way.

You think that's bad try working as a gas attendant at HESS, one worker, many freaking cars. It was hell for the past 2 days, even ran out of regular both nights. Luckily i'm off til Thursday or later now.

Ok I know you upper east cost guys don't get hit by many Hurricanes. I figured you guys would be use to it. From what I read on here there acting like the south before a snow storm.

Looks like the eye is going to go just north of me (western maryland if anyone cares haha) but were going to get a ridiculous amount of rain and have you guys heard about them evacing 375,000 out of Manhattan? plus the coast guard sent most of the ships in the harbor out to open sea

This is much more than just a hurricane, this a hurricane combing with a nor'easter which has never happened as far as we know and a incredible amount of storm surge hitting the most populated part of the country

Well, I'm expected to be without power for about a week. No school tomorrow or Tuesday. Good luck to everyone and stay safe!

Only one thing about this night is certain. The winds of the hurricane will not lift Chris Christie off the ground.

Remember guys... Its not just the eye that can cause bad damage. The storm now spans 600 miles of tropical storm winds.

My mom was at a HESS station just about an hour and a half ago, and she said she was literally the last car to get gas in the station, and that as she pulled out, the lights were shut off. She might've been at your station lol.

Winds in my area (Central NJ) have picked up somewhat considerably since earlier this evening, really it was just a light breeze at about 6, but now it's about 5-10 mph sustained with gusts from 15-20 (my estimates, I could be completely wrong). Still haven't had any rain yet, but that will certainly be coming soon. I'm off from school the next 2 days though, so at least I can stay home and stay out of Frankenstorm's wrath.

I'd estimate the winds are about 35 gusting to about 60 where I am on Long Island right now. No rain yet but it's coming.

I'm just curious as to what this point of no return you keep talking about is.

shes started to turn west which means the slim chance of her going east to open sea or north to Canada are completely gone
