This may sound dumb, but, do you have a monitor? From your post and that link, it seems the answer would be no.

No, I don't have a monitor. I'm trying to get it to work on my Emerson HDTV. I also tried HDMI but that didn't work either.

Okay, that makes sense. :p

So, have you changed the input mode on your TV?

Yeah I've tried it on PC with the AVG cable and that didn't work. I tried both HDMI inputs with the HDMI in and again nothing.

Do you have a monitor somewhere you can plug it into? I'm willing to bet you have to configure the computer's graphics options for it to show up on the TV.

No, the monitor I had was thrown out for some reason. I'm stuck with the TV and nothing else.(n)

AVG cable? Don't you mean VGA? Anyway...

Tell me, do you have an onboard VGA, DVI, or HDMI port?

Do you have a separate video card in a PCI-E, PCI, or an AGP port with said connections above?

If you have both, which one are you using?

Also, are your video cables even good? Do you have a cable plugged into another device that is working?
