Take out the sounds files or turn them off...then.. The idea I have is to use some kind of software that runs from the desktop that has V8 sounds and its connected through your gas pedal (game controller) where you can use this sound for all the racing games. It would be like when you calibrate your game controller you could turn on the sound software and pick the car sound you want to use...wait that wont work to well for instant replays though..good idea though............

I don't think that would apply to idle engines, misfires, gear changes, or revving, which affect how the engine runs.

Besides, why bother if you can already change the sound files in NR2k3? (Doesn't RFactor allow this too?)

ya rFactor does. I was just thinking how useful it would be for games like DTR2 and others where the sound is really bad even after installing new sound. I jus like the sounds from DirtFactor and GTR2 and use them in other racing games. I see your point though

Can't you take the sounds from other games and just rename them so nr2003 can use them? Surely you can't share it, but for private use maybe this would work.
