I'm having some trouble with importing my paint scheme. I have the ss.net cot mod installed and i have the 1.2.0.1 patch installed. i designed a paint scheme with photoshop and i saved it as a .tga file and put it in the imports/exports folder. When i go to the opponents manager screen i cant import the paint scheme. I've tried creating a new car and i click on the import button next to the spinning car, i select the .tga file and press 'ok' and it doesnt come up on the car.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks guys

BigX, problem is you probably downloaded a car for the DanNisbet COT mod, those templates are basically a reverse of the SS.Net COT mod.

That's probably due to the name you gave your .tga file. Make sure it's just letters and numbers and doesn't have a period or comma in the name. Some other characters also affect this but I can't remember which ones they are so just be sure the name is only letters and numbers.

I have had problems with the period thing along with the name of the file.

If the name of the file is too long, it will not bring it up.

I had this problem a few times so I renamed all my files to shorter names.

Hope this helps!

How did you import it exactly? Did you use the export/import button in the opponent manager screen or did you do it in the ingame paint shop? If you did it in the ingame paint shop thats your problem, you can only do that with tga files that are for the stock models so, for mods you can only do it from the opponent manager screen.

thanks for responding guys.
i know it doesnt work in the paint shop i was trying to import them using the button on the opponent manager scheme.
i have gotten it to work now. on my old computer i use to save them as .tga files in the paint program and it would work so thats what i was doing on my new computer and it wasnt working, so i saved them as .tga in photoshop rather than paint and it seems to work fine now.
Thanks again guys for responding and trying to help i really appreciate it
