i know this has been talked about a while back. i didnt think id need to do this so i didnt read the thread.

but im trying to do a Pro Cup series season, and on some of the short tracks...like new symrna...i need to increase the allowed computer opponents if thats possible. As it is now, on new symrna for example, i can only run 19 computer opponents max. Is there a way to increase that?

Edit the track to add more pit stalls.

The SIModified version of Symrna allows up to 24 AI cars I believe.

Small local tracks like that only have a few pit stalls and you cannot add more AI unless you add more stalls or redo pitroad.

Are you going to race in such a way that there are no scheduled pit stops? If so you can just pile the pitboxes on pitroad randomly (or compress the spacing) and race with 43 cars anywhere you want to, it will look very weird though.

I always thought it would be cool to have a 70 plus car field at talladega like back in the 1970's,that would be "fun"!

oh. guess ill just have to deal with it. lol

You give up too easily. Actually try it. It isn't exactly that hard at all.

I'll keep this short.

first number = the location of stall along the lenght(centerline) of the track

For example, putting it at zero puts it next to the start/finish line or, putting it at 200 places it 200 (feet?) farther ahead. Using negative numbers isn't advisable here. Also, the spacing between stalls can not be lower than 8 or pitting for you and the ai will be very difficult, though that is if the stalls in question are on a straight. If they are one a curve the minimum is 10.

second number = distance of stall from track's centerline

For example, putting the number at zero will put the pit stall in the very center of the actual racing surface, or putting it at -50 will place the stall 50(feet?) to the inside of the track towards the very center.

third number = angle of stall in relation to the section of track it is parrallel to

For example, putting that number at zero with have the stall at the same angle as the track next to it or, putting it at 15 or -15 points the stall either towards the outide or inside of the track. This part is the hardest of the three because if the pitroad and the track adjacent to pitroad arn't exactly the same(ie daytona) then it will take a lot more time and patience to get it to where it satisfies you.

I can post shots later if you want.
