Maybe they could get Burger King to become the title sponsor. Then they could call it the Whopper of all race tracks! I know it's corny, lol!

I can see it. Burger King International Raceway, the Steakhouse XT esses, the Chicken Fries turn 10.

What is so wrong with Spnsors sponsoring Tracks and Cars? Teams gotta get paid one or the other.

Most people prefer the name the tracks start out with, not only do they usually indicate where they're from, it gives them personality.

I think the fact that just about all CA's racetracks are sponsored reflects how much more expensive it is to live & do business in CA than just about anywhere else in the USA.

Good point, Matt. I hadn't realized that, but yeah..

Auto Club (Cali)
Infineon (Sonoma)
Toyota (Irwindale)

I'm sure there are others, too.

You do realize that all tracks are sponsored right? Most are sponsored by cities and states and a few are sponsored by companies.

Its what determines everythings future.

Sponsors for the most part, as well as race purses and what fans pay at the ticket office.

Exactly so what is Sad about it?

These tracks have massive utility bills to pay (ones like Sears Point year round, Northern ones more-so just over the summer), they have loads of staff to pay, their insurance is amazingly high, Maintenance & Upkeep aren't cheap, etc....

Racetracks and well Every Sports venue that has these sponsors depend on them to keep the doors open & the lights on.
