Both Scott and Amanda Speed are pretty hilarious on twitter, and in general...and I've found myself really rooting for him to do well. He's kind of become my second favorite driver, though, needless to say, still miles and miles behind Jeff Gordon.

So...I made a version of my personal car, inspired by his ride. Meaning, the silver color and the Red Bull sponsorship. Other than that, the base is completely my own creation.

Template and contingencies from SRD. Everything else by me! :)

Thanks to Andy1 (bottom) and RBaller (top) for the awesome renders! :)

Comments/opinions welcome...:)

Awesome car! Definitely a nice alternate to the real Red Bull cars. My only "concern" is that the 25 on the doors seem to be too far forward. I realize it's probably to not cover up the bull, though.

Y'know. I thought that too when I was making it...but I shook it off because I know the contingencies on the normal TRB cars is further forward. But now that I really look at it, I should shrink the Bull some, and shift the #'s back. Heck...now you've got me self conscious about the number. lol j/k. :)

First I traced out the logos from crappy ones I found on google search, and was able to clean them up, and make them layered (the red/yellow parts)

Then, for the outline, its just the stroke tool, under blending options.

Dude, you have no idea how much time I spend tweaking my numbers and repositioning them on carviewer! lol I don't think I'm ever 100% happy with my numbers or my final products in general. I always find things to tweak or update on my cars.:arghh:

You're preaching to the choir, bud. I'm never really that happy with my work. Sure, I think things turn out good. But I'm always striving to be better, and to get my game up to the top level of painters like Jason, dbake, Alan, etc.

Want my honest opinion?

Looks better than his current ride. Nice work!

Question: How did you do that, i don't know, "dirt" effect on the car?

Thanks for the postive comments, everyone! I appreciate it! :)

The darker sliver down below? Wasn't intended to be "dirt"...but okay.

Its just a gradient over a silver/metallic layer, that I made using a chrome overlay and a gray layer that I added a noise effect to.

On top of that, I added a pattern layer of "Red Bulls" that is overlayed, using the luminosity effect, to make it subtle. That same pattern is overlayed on the silver area up top on the car, and on the blue area at the back.

I hope that answered your question! :)
