Where does one find instructions for downloading & installing the iRacing software? I have searched their faq's and whatnot, but came up with nothing. I called iRacing support's department and they told me to download and install the software...then I would have the instructiions. I guess they didn't understand my question...lmao.

Btw, this is my first post here at SRD. I have been league racing (nr2003) for 4 years now.

After you click buy, you are taken to the pages where you are shown how to install it.

You can't download the software unless you purchase a subscription. Once you do that, you'll get instructions on how to download it. Failing that, go to your "Dashboard" or the "Press Room" page. One of those two pages should come up when you log into the website.

The Service Status box should tell you that you need to download or update the software. Clicky the link in that box that should take you to the appropriate page.

Thank you for the help. I really appreciate it. I thought of another question related to iRacing.

How difficult is it to download, install and setup? I do not know much when it comes to computers and I am concerned it will be too technical for me to do by myself.

iRacing is one of the more friendly racing sims to download, install and setup. Should have no problems.

How big is the initial download, and excess cars/tracks etc?

Nowhere does it say that! It's pretty important info for poor folk like me with only 21gb/month. . . . who have used 17 already on the 20th day haha.

ps. hi there iRacing folk! I'm stupidly making the jump this week :D

    In order of installation:
    1. iRacing client: 248 MB
    2. Basic data: 20 MB
    3. Base member content (rookie cars & tracks): 1 GB

    Thanks John,

That's pretty good - was expecting upwards of 3gb potentially.
