Someone I know suggested hotels where the superstretch grandstands are.

Perhaps they can do what Atlanta and Texas did by putting in those huge condos/hotel or whatever are in that Turn 4 building at AMS and off of Turn 2 at Texas. I could see them adding that to Daytona...

If not, perhaps some sort of special camping area that can be slightly raised so you can look down at the pack thundering past below your position.

I do not have one problem with this. Its there track and they can do what ever they want to it. As for the looks. Its not that bad. What to you expect for looks?

They are also lowering there capacity. I think that's a good move on there part. At lest they will not have to put tarps over unsold seats. Like many pro sports do. When they decided to cut ticket sales. So they can act like it was a sell out. Full seats look better on TV then empty. I am also sure that is the main reason why there doing this.

You can add draped-off sections to the list. Watch any WCW pay-per-view from their final years. Or TNA. Or sometimes WWE. It may look good with sections cut off, but people attending the event will notice.
