I used to battle the same thing, then I found an article about Sparse Grid Super Sampling using NVIDIA Inspector.
My settings for NR2003:
1) set up your graphics preferences in the NVIDIA Control Panel 1st (I have mine on max graphics quality for everything)
2) set the below graphics settings in NVIDIA Inspector (all other settings will remain matching the NVIDIA Control Panel)
Antialiasing Setting: 8x Multisampling
Antialiasing Transparency Supersampling: 8x Sparse Grid Supersampling
Toggle FXAA On/Off: off
Texture Filtering LOD Bias (DX): -1.500
Texture Filtering Negative LOD Bias: allow
Vertical Sync: force on
Using this technique has eliminated jaggies "completely" for me.

did i told you i love you man !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the games looks exactly the way i wanted. thanks to you i never ever would figure it out myself! thx!!

@ all i wasnt sure about that but with alot of screenshots on this site i was always thinking that the game can look better then my way. thanks to all

Ya learn something new everytime here!

I have my N2K3 setting setup with pretty much all the core.ini, dx.ini and player ini. tweaks and I get a good 100 to 140fps in a decent pack race on my laptop with a nvidea GeForce 230M with 1 dedicated ram, with everything turned up but I always did notice a bit of "jaggin" arounf the graphics. Also with the different tracks, enviroments , sun, cloud, updates I've added and downloaded I halways had at certain tracks like Daytona and some other superspeedways where the horizons wouldn't display properly almost like split images. I always kept my AnisotropicLevel=0 thinking it would increase my fps so I switched it to 9 and that solved my problem with the images splitting, and still get the same fps.
Took a nice lap around Daytona and saw the brightes sun going around turn one I had to grab my sunglasses I was blinded! LOL

Thanks for all the tips guys....Good stuff...Even old dogs can learn new tricks been around since N4, HEAT , I don't know everything....always learn something new! Thanks for sharing boys! You just made my racing a lot more enjoyable!!! (y)

MasGrafx, I am an old dog myself :) I rarely post but have spent years of effort improving the graphics to maximum on all of my games and tried new things as technology has changed. I spend more time tweaking graphics, than racing. I am assuming those 4 .jpg's you posted were before using my Sparse Grid Super Sampling settings, because I can assure you it will get rid of your jaggies. By the way I use 16 on my Anisotropic Level. Cheers.

Sparse Grid Super Sampling settings

Well not sure if that's what I did, but I just set my options in my nvidea control panel to the ones listed here on the several post, some of them where a bit confiusing as if there was an additional app to use with your nvidea panel to make some setting adjustments, so I'm not sure.

No those images are after I changed my antialiasing from 0 to 9 and so if I can get some better looking graphics... mind giving me a step by step cuz I obvisly most of missed something..LMAO!

Thanks in advance grirvan

Ok Found the "NVIDIA Inspector" via GURU3D and change the following settings:

Antialiasing Setting: 8x Multisampling
Antialiasing Transparency Supersampling: 8x Sparse Grid Supersampling
Vertical Sync: force on

These where greyed out even if it let me change the value it wouldn't save it, so I'm assuming my card doesn't have it or it cannot be changed?

Toggle FXAA On/Off: off
Texture Filtering LOD Bias (DX): -1.500
Texture Filtering Negative LOD Bias: allow

Thanks, MasGrafx

MasGrafx you are almost there :) Yes you have to use the additional software NVIDIA Inspector "after" first setting the regular NVIDIA Control Panel Settings, which again my NVIDIA Control Panel settings are set to optimize graphics, not performance. Then once in NVIDIA Inspector, click the wrench/screwdriver button next to driver version. I am using NVIDIA Inspector 1.9.72, but it shouldn't matter. That will open an additional menu. At the top where it says profiles, click that and scroll to Nascar 2003 Season, then make "all" of the changes I mention and be sure and click apply when finished. If you have done this correctly, you will see graphics like never before for NR2003. Good luck.

I will be posting some amazing non-jaggies game shots in the NR2003 Screenshot and Video Thread in the next few days since I have just read how to do that. I believe people think this game has outdated graphics, but that is just not so. After tweaking, the graphics are better than I ever imagined.
