From Jayski:

Wise leaves Front Row Motorsports: Front Row Motorsports posted the following message to their Facebook page Tuesday morning, "Because a lot of you have been asking about the status of the #35 car and Josh Wise, we wanted to give you an update. Josh has accepted an offer to drive for another team in 2014, and we absolutely wish him the best in that new role. He's been a good team member and we've appreciated his contributions over the past two seasons. We do plan to continue running the #35 car in 2014, although the program for that car is still in development. It is our expectation to use more than one driver in that role, and we are currently looking at driver candidates and potential partners to help fund and finalize that program."(11-26-2013)
UPDATE: Josh Wise tweeted Tuesday morning, "Super thankful for @FrontRowNASCAR and my two years there! Was time to make a change and I'm really excited about 2014! I will keep you all posted on my 2014 plans in the coming days".(11-27-2013)

Personally, I'm really curious which ride he is going to be driving. Hope it's something in the Nationwide Series so he can develop his skills more.

I hope he ends up in a decent ride anywhere, whether it's trucks or nationwide. Is the Petty nationwide car still open for drivers since Annett is going to TBR?

Yeah, he needs a full season in trucks or nationwide. These guys doing random spurts in Cup most of the time doesnt help anything.

"Jose" Wise... lol

Personally, I think Josh is better suited for Nationwide Series competition at this point. I hope he'll be using better equipment next year. He needs to get out of the developmental stuff.

I hope not, Tony Raines just needs to be put out of his NASCAR misery. I could see FRM going another young driver like they did with Wise, someone like a Cole Whitt, Blake Koch etc.

As far as Wise I could definitely see him in an RPM car if there's sponsorship, but I could also see TSM or RAB

Don't count on it. Corey LaJoie is likely going to be running the Petty Nationwide car. If Wise can bring sponsorship for a second full time team, then it's possible.

RPM is trying get Ryan Truex into a ride as well. Or at least I think Truex in their program.

You are right Ryan Truex is a developmental driver for RPM as well. Corey and Ryan would be the lineup in Nationwide before they would get Josh Wise unless he brings sponsorship.

Wise to drive for Phil Parsons: Phil Parsons Racing announces that Josh Wise will join the team for the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. In addition to welcoming Wise to the team, PPR will switch manufacturers and become a Chevy team, with Wise piloting the #98 Chevy SS next year. PPR competed in its first NSCS race in 2012 and earned their best finish in the 2013 Daytona 500. PPR is owned by former NASCAR driver Phil Parsons. Parsons competed in nearly 500 races among the NSCS and NASCAR Nationwide Series, finding success in both series and excelling at some of NASCAR's most famous tracks, including wins at Talladega Superspeedway, Bristol Motor Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway. After stepping away from the driver's seat, Parsons moved into the broadcasting world and has worked as a NASCAR analyst for FOX Sports since 2003. Wise has 69 starts in NASCAR's top series, with his best start and finish both coming at Talladega Superspeedway in 2013. In addition to his NSCS experience, Wise also has several years of experience in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Prior to coming to NASCAR, the Riverside, Calif. native earned numerous championships in the open-wheel ranks, where he started his professional racing career. Wise makes the move to PPR after racing for Front Row Motorsports the past two seasons. PPR continues to look for marketing partners for the 2014 NSCS season.(Spire Sports + Entertainment)(12-4-2013)

So he goes from actually racing some to a full fledged start and park.

He really should have tried to take a step back and get himself in some halfway decent Nationwide or Truck series equipment. Going to the 98 will do nothing but hinder his career.

It looks like PPR will be the only Cup s&p in 2014 - what a shame that a young guy like Wise is stuck there - PPR said back in 2008 that they would be eventually here to race - this will be the seventh year of that being a lie.

And PPR switches manufactures again, that should help the team but hurt the team's consistency. I think it was stupid for Josh to switch to a team that S&P's and that has bad cars to begin with unless they/he think that he can help get enough sponsorship to race.

Not the smartest of moves, but hey, maybe PPR has something lined up for 2014 with Josh and might finally break the trend of being known around the NASCAR world as a full-time S&P team.

Josh should have gone back down to Nationwide or Trucks (in my opinion), but hey, that is his choice and hopefully it works out for him.

So....what was Josh thinking exactly?

Going from driving full races half the time for an improving team to S&P'ing for possibly the least competitive team in the garage. Talk about a backwards move.

this dosent surprise me at all because Josh is a very religious guy and PPR has always had religious sponsorships with McDowell. Also, Wise and McDowell were buddy buddy so it dosent surprise me that he would take his spot when he moved over to LFR.

....I'd take a good paycheck to turn 10 laps and go back to sleep in my coach. You'd be stupid not to do that.
