No...no she is not. She's just in a lot better equipment. Remember Stenhouse won 2 consecutive Nationwide Championships and meanwhile Danica scored 7 top tens combined in those years.

Danica is improving, no doubt about that. But she is not better than Stenhouse, statistically.

Anyways. Back on track. It'll be interesting to see where Chase goes. Hendrick would be a fool to let another "prodigy" go, but if he doesn't get up to Cup full time in the next couple years, I could see him leaving.

Would be cool to see Bill Elliott start his own team, with a Hendrick alliance and Napa/Aaron's sponsoring.

Just a couple things to keep in mind -

JRM can't field Cup cars as long as Jr is with HMS. It violates the four car rule. If a driver is also a team owner, then the car count from both teams is combined.

Also, just because a driver is under contract, it doesn't mean they can't still be released. Granted, it would be a little hard to believe HMS would extend Kahne, only to release him a year or two later. But, its just important to remember that a team can basically sack a driver any time they want.

At the end of the day, theres most likely more facets of the overall bigger plan that we don't know about yet. I'd have a hard time believing Mr H is going to let Chase race somewhere else.

Well Elliott is to the #24 im sure. After 2016. Before then...Hmm. 3rd CGR car? I believe CGR is with Hendrick now and not an RCR team right?

CGR runs Hendrick motors but they don't have an alliance with them.

JRM has been "Hendrick NNS" since 2008, its not really its own business anymore. There is no way they will do anything other than that under the current arrangement.

Thats not exactly true. Mr H has a 25% stake in JRM, and JRM runs HMS motors as well as gets technical support from HMS. But JRM is still totally an independent business/team from HMS. A lot of the decision making doesn't even involve Mr H or HMS. While they may work together on arranging certain situations (like Chase, for instance), HMS isn't running or pulling the strings at JRM. The top of their command chain is Kelley and Dale Jr.

This was the team's first year, so there was a lot of building and molding of relationships going on. I feel like Scott feels a connection to Allgaier, since they've worked together for a while. He also has good sponsorship and good equipment, I think maybe a second car, but unless Allgaier starts missing races next year you would see Chase as a teammate. Plus two cars is always better than one for research purposes.

Allgaier's not going anywhere. That team made huge progress over the second half of the year, particularly at tracks they were visiting for the second time. He also was reunited with his ARCA spotter late in the year and that helped him improve as well. In the first half of the season, he had just 2 top 20 finishes. In the second half, he had 8 of those, including 4 in his last 5 races.

Just a thought and probably completely fictional, say perhaps SHR finally says farewell to Danica and puts JR in the #10 only since Teresa isn't around anymore switch it to the #8 and put chase in the #88 at HMS and problem solved

Earnhardt Jr. isn't going anywhere. He wants to finish out his Cup career with HMS, and Mr H wants him to do so.

And Danica's probably not going anywhere any time soon, for that matter.

For someone who's #2 in NASCAR merchandise sales, I'd have to believe her fanbase is a little larger than "few and far in between".
