I don't know. That may have been when he first came in. Now I think he likes it at least a little.

But F1 fits his personality and sense of hip-ness. It's the reverse for JPM. He'd rather be in NASCAR, and said he doesn't even watch F1.

guess I'm with JPM on this one!

We squashed this rumor before. TRB denounced a move to Chevy when the Martin to TRB rumors came up.

That, and they are working on a multi-year deal with SS, currently.

Isn't the silly season a blast?

And to everyone who says SS hates racing stock cars, how do you know this any better than you know anything in particular about the personalities of other drivers. Unless you can get into their heads, the closest thing we have is their PR and Twitter, and from SS's twitter, it seems like he's having a ball.

bit off topic, but I felt horrible for him with that engine problem, running in 8th today. he had a top 10 car, easy, today, and never got to drive it to fruition.

Yeah, I don't know. :(

But SS, his wife, KB, and his fiance are hilarious on Twitter.

Amen to that!

Reading the tweets and antics between the four of them actually made me follow him more on the track each week, and has pretty much put him as my #2 (distant #2) driver, behind JG.

This is why we should only trust Jayski, Speed, or NASCAR.com.

Jayski now has it.

Kahne to Red Bull in 2011? Red Bull Racing has emerged as the likely place for Kasey Kahne in the 2011 Sprint Cup season, the Observer and ThatsRacin.com have learned. Under a proposed arrangement, Kahne would drive one of Red Bull Racing's Toyota's next season as he waits to take over Hendrick's #5 Chevy in 2012, sources close to the situation confirmed Sunday. Mark Martin, as he has maintained since news of Kahne's signing by Hendrick became public in April, would drive the #5 next season, his last with Hendrick. Jay Frye, Red Bull Racing's general manager, would neither confirm nor deny his organization has been in discussions with Hendrick Motorsports to have Kahne drive a Red Bull car next season. Sources maintained that the deal to put Kahne at Red Bill has not been completed, but insisted that it is the most viable option for the 30-year-old driver from Enumclaw, Wash. An HMS spokesman declined to comment on the Kahne-to-Red Bill scenario after Sunday's race. Kahne's agent did not respond to a request for comment.(Charlotte Observer)(8-9-2010)

Jayski has officially confirmed it. Kahne to Red Bull in 2011. Always knew the Chevy boys were in bed with Toyota. lol Anybody wanna take bets on Hendrick switching to Toyota sometime in the future?

Hendrick Motorsports owner Rick Hendrick has completed a deal to put Kasey Kahne in a Red Bull Racing Toyota in 2011, according to multiple sources familiar with the situation. An announcement could come as early as Tuesday. Which Red Bull car Kahne will drive is still to be determined. Neither of Red Bull's current drivers are guaranteed to drive for the team in 2011. Team general manager Jay Frye has said a decision should be announced on Scott Speed's status by the end of August. Brian Vickers, who has been sidelined since May for the treatment for blood clots, won't know until November if the treatments worked well enough for him to return next season, although the team is optimistic. Hendrick had originally said that he expected to be able to place Kahne in a Chevy for 2011, but it appears it will be a Toyota, which signed a contract extension with Red Bull last year.(Scene Daily)(8-9-2010)

I have my suspicions that TRB will switch to Chevrolet between now and end of the year. Odd that Hendrick would have Kahne be in a Toyota, but then again, there are some ties to Hendrick their. Well this may just be the beginning.

i dont belive so much as to hendrick going or backing a toyota but james finch just didnt want to risk having anotheer bad year in cup with kahne which makes no sense why and why he went to toyota and no one can say that they will switch to chevy because rdr resigned-with trd this year so there is no turning back now but i will be really happy for that whole redbull group to have a winning car however aisde from vickers who i belive would have been a domninant force this year had it not been for medical issues but i agree with most posts as of know rick hendrick has only been quoted saying there has been so many offers we just arent ready to pull the trigger yet so we might see a completely different turnout come homestead who knows

I think Red Bull stays with yota. Hendrick never said he would get Kahne in a chevy, just said he would get him a "ride"

Nooooooooo!!! (unless this means a 3rd TRB car)

I hope to God BVick gets better again to get back in his ride, so I hope Kahne doesn't go there (but TRB may know something we don't and put Kahne in there for a one year deal while BVick continues to retire)

Or else...Kahne replaces Scott Speed (which would absolutely SUCK...he's improving immensely from last year...one more year and he could be a top 15-25 team week in and week out, and top 10 more often)

Either way, I am not happy. (unless Kahne just fills in the 83 next year while BVick continues his rehab)

I stand completely corrected on this one. I didn't see this one coming at all! I just hope Kahne doesn't fill the 82 or 83. Just bring back the 84 and we're good. If Vickers misses another year due to his blood clots, I'm not sure I see him coming back at all and if he does so after another year, it's going to be rough.

Uh oh. Too bad for James Finch. This could have been the one chance he had at building a competitive team.

Good pick up for TRB. With Kasey in the car they should get a good meter of how well there cars are performing and what they have to make better to be a championship caliber team.
