This should be fun to explain....
ESPN: NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne apologized Wednesday after expressing his disgust on Twitter when he saw a woman breastfeeding at a grocery store.

-- Kasey Kahne tweet
Kahne tweeted: "Just walking though supermarket. See a mom breast feeding little kid. Took second look because obviously I was seeing things. I wasn't!"

He went on to describe the scene in more detail before adding #nasty.

Kahne later apologized on his Facebook page.

"I understand that my comments regarding breastfeeding posted on Twitter were offensive to some people," Kahne acknowledged in a statement on his Facebook page. "For that, I apologize. It was in no way my intention to offend any mother who chooses to breastfeed her child, or, for that matter, anyone who supports breastfeeding children. I want to make that clear."

I dont see why he had to apologize about it...Its not like he insulted the lady and it dosent come off to me as a rant...people are to sensitive.

Very sad. People ARE too sensitive. I say what I want and if I piss people off, then I don't lose sleep. However, if I WAS in the wrong, I'm first to admit I was wrong.

He really didn't say anything out of line, but this is the world we live in nowadays. You can't say something "wrong or tastesless " you will have 20 people jumping down your throat.

Political correctness will ruin the world, if it hasn't already.

I don't particularly fancy seeing a woman breastfeeding in public, I don't think it's something that should be out in the open. Should I now apologize to all mothers who breastfeed?

My word, if he said something regarding race or religion that's one thing. But to have people jumping up and down over a comment regarding BREASTFEEDING? No, no, no. Grow some thicker skin.

I just wish people could say what they want without having to be sorry.
Pretty soon thier will be no such thing as free speech, just in case we all upset some one.

Eh- I'm sure a good portion of my personal Twitter account offends someone. I'm just not the kind of person who would apologize for it. That being said, a lot of people look up to Kasey (as a crush, role model, etc.) so he's treading on a bit thinner ice in general than I am. It's a shame that it got out of hand in the first place.

He should join No Ma'am.

Reveal his beer gut hot bod.

And boogie down.

Like Al Bundy did that one time.

Like I said on his Facebook, people gotta be so 'reactionary' these days. Pretty much saying, that if it comes off to be the slightest bit insensitive (it wasn't), then you're gonna have people freak. Honestly, I think if those people were in Kasey's shoes and saw that while shopping for their food, I'm pretty sure their reactions are gonna be more or less the same.

My girlfriend would breast feed our child in stores in public, but she did that weird blanket over the baby deal. Yes, I thought it was sick and nasty. Kasey Kahne is in the majority here when it comes to his opinion.

It's a sad state on the world today, when you express your own personal opinion on something, then have to apologise for it. It's downright disgusting actually.
We had a female politician scream blue murder over here, when the President of the Senate asked her to stop breastfeeding in the Senate Chamber during session. The feminazis went nuts, and the guy was toasted by the media! Go figure...

The way my Daughter was treated by the pro titty tuggers in Hospital after not wanting to breastfeed was nothing short of disgusting....but, i'll not go there as it just makes me mad :)

I applaud Kasey for saying his bit though. If more people said what they thought and took off the big girls panties; the world would be a better place!

NASCAR star Kasey Kahne apologized Wednesday night for an outburst on Twitter in which he blasted a mother for breastfeeding in a supermarket.

The incident occurred Tuesday when the 31-year-old, who lives in Mooresville, NC, saw a woman nursing her child.

"Just walking though supermarket," Kahne tweeted. "See a mom breast feeding little kid. Took second look because obviously I was seeing things. I wasn't!"

Kahne added, "One boob put away one boob hanging!! #nasty.

"I don't feel like shopping anymore or eating."

His tweets caused outrage on the social networking site, with one woman named Deana P., posting, "I hope someday you have a kid and someone tells your wife that feeding your child looks nasty."

Kahne caused further furor by responding, "And your a dumb b*tch," to which she countered, "Stay classy a**hole."

Kahne later deleted his tweet and Wednesday took to Facebook to apologize for his remarks.

"I understand that my comments regarding breastfeeding posted on Twitter were offensive to some people," he wrote. "For that, I apologize. It was in no way my intention to offend any mother who chooses to breastfeed her child, or, for that matter, anyone who supports breastfeeding children. I want to make that clear.

"In all honestly, I was surprised by what I saw in a grocery store. I shared that reaction with my fans on Twitter. It obviously wasn't the correct approach, and, after reading your feedback, I now have a better understanding of why my posts upset some of you.

"My comments were not directed at the mother's right to breastfeed. They were just a reaction to the location of that choice, and the fashion in which it was executed on that occasion.

"I respect the mother's right to feed her child whenever and wherever she pleases."

I think eeryone has a right to express their opnions. He shouldn't have to applogize for how he feels. Havinng said that, I don't think its any of Kahne's businesss that the mom is feeding her child. And, why would he be offended/grossed out by the female anatomy??c.c

He should only be apologizing to that women he called a "dumb b*tch", not his opinion. I mean, if i went to the supermarket to get a bag of chips, and saw a women with her tit hanging out while breastfeeding, i wouldn't be too happy either.

Sure, its natural and has to be done, but some things just shouldnt be done out in public like that. I mean damn, at least cover it up if you must.
