Wow Kurt...if you knew that was probably not appropriate to say under probation then why did you???

I don't get him at all...it's like he wants to get in trouble and wants to be the bad guy. Newman really must be right when he says "chemical imbalance"

I voiced my opinion on the media trying to force a reaction out of him and all the BS post people make in the race thread. So I am just gonna say this is a stupid suspension and I think its crap. Maybe they will let Cole Whitt drive the 51 next week.

Hasn't the man been punished enough already? OK, no, he hasn't changed, but can you blame him for being mad? The guy has so much pressure on him it's ridiculous.

Obviously not, because he keeps treading down the same road. When you havnt responded to previous repercussions, then they need to be taken to the next level. He's allowed to be mad, but theres a huge difference between being mad and Kurt's actions. And being under pressure doesnt excuse those actions.

To each their own, but I honestly find it a little perplexing that some feel NASCAR took it too far. What Kurt said in that interview was completely disrespectful and absolutely unacceptable. I just have a hard time understanding why some feel it was ok.

You can be mad and you can throw your little tantrums if you must. But showing such blatent disrespect to someone doing their job, should not be tolerated under any circumstances. Not in NASCAR, and not anywhere else.

LOL, When are Reporters gonna learn to stay away from Kurt after he has had a bad race?

While I don't like Kurt (and won't miss him one bit), I do find the suspension dumb. They banned people over this and let actual on-track incidents that would actually grant a suspension go.

I'm bang on in Kurt's case for this one. This suspension is ridiculous. If reporters would stay on topic and talk about the actual race, rather than talk about petty crap trying to start something to get a story, Kurt might actually have a clear conscious after a race and not over-react. In 25 words or less; Its the media's fault for asking stupid questions.

When you get put on probation and being who he his with his history he should have expected this question, no comment would have saved him a bunch of time, as far as the press yes there annoying but threatening them is crossing the line. As far as the "bad race" I was under the understanding this happened after the N'Wide race in which he finished 4th i think it was, bad? I think i top 5 is a really good day in my book. I'd like to see james finch rid of him, he said he had changed and he odvoiusly hasn't, let him get some time to sit on his couch at home and really think about what he has done, because IMO he hasnt gotten to this point any type of punishment, he got fired from one ride and placed in another not to bad of a punishment IMO.

If Kurt keeps this up, he's gonna end up like Jeremy Mayfield, on the outside looking in. Kurt is a talented driver, we've all seen it before so he doesn't have to prove that. I look at this as a cry for help from Kurt, I think someone like Joe Gibbs might me an asset to him. Frankly I'd like to see Kurt in the #20 next year and Joey in the #20 NW car full time.

Since NASCAR issues press credentials, has anyone ever had their credentials revoked by NASCAR or be banned from the garage for a race or 2? With some of the yahoos that try to be journalists it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Now the real question is who is going to drive the 51 car at Pocono this weekend?

You guys trying to blame the press are funny. Plenty of drivers on probation have been asked about being on probation and the drivers haven't threatened to "beat the **** out of" them. Simple solution. Don't get yourself put on probation and if you do get put on probation, expect to get asked about it.

I don't think it's right compare a guy with a quick temper to a methed out loser.

I vote for Greg Sacks in the 51 this weekend. Could bring GT Vodka on board as a sponsor.

I was in the garage area at Iowa in May for some kind words from Kurt Busch, after seeing bits of that video, I wonder how he ever had a ride. I recall he was being talked to by other drivers and crews and was droppin F bombs right and left. Honestly who would want such a negative attitude around. Every car has off days, but he has to remember that he is in a position where people look up to him, and yes there were kids around just like in that video.

I'm all for opposing opinions and different perspective, but the idea that the media is vilifying Kurt Busch is completely asinine to me. Whoever thinks Pockrass was out of line for asking if NASCAR probation makes him drive differently shouldn't. Journalism 101 : The good reporters ask the tough questions. If Kurt didn't want to answer questions about probation, he should have stayed out of trouble in the first place.

To everyone who thinks that the punishment did not fit the crime, you have to remember, he was/is on probation.

When you're on probation you can't afford to do anything stupid, the littlest thing can get you suspended.

NASCAR place isnt in psychology, it should be limited to racing. My minor is in journalism so I will tell you its the medias job to make a story at all cost. For those of you that say he was just doing his job and we should feel bad for him. I say his job is to swindle and prod a response out of Kurt knowing his situation.Which he did, extremely successfully. Screw the media and anyone that places judgement on a person for words that are only placed for exploitation. The media prays on the ability to exploit a story, this is how their job is defined. And who are any of us to judge a person being crucified for the sake of good journalism? This is more than a good story, this is a mans life and career being tarnished for entertainment.

Kurt is on probation and got in some minor run ins with another driver. Bob Pockrass asked if being on probation affected the way he handled the situation. Kurt snapped and threatened physical violence. In no way was Bob Pockrass's question out of line or trying to expose anything. Kurt was in a situation where being on probation may change the way he handles it. There was no swindling. Pockrass wanted a quote from Busch about how he potentially handled the on track situation considering the circumstances. I minored in journalism as well and my media writing professors would probably have been very disappointed with someone backing down from a harmless question just because they were dealing with a douche.

Its not NASCARs place to suspend you for an off track media indecent. Monster Energy is the only one that should have an influence on Kurt as his sponsor in such a case. His probation is racing related. I wont keep up my media dispute cause my discontent goes so much deeper than anything that relates to this. It just following the same general media slander outline.
