Labonte to the #47 in 2011?

Nice to know that me and my dad diss on Reutimann (my driver) and Labonte (his driver) all the time, and now theyre pretty much teamates, haha...

So confident is Geschickter that Labonte was the right choice, he's willing to go out on a limb and make a prediction for next year.

"I think Bobby's the type of guy that can give us a real run at The Chase," Geschickter said. "He'll be consistent. He'll be hungry. He'll be able to give us extra insight into what we need to do next. We just expect to keep progressing and improving on our results."

Geschickter's current sponsors will all return in 2011, although maybe five races remain to be sold. A technical alliance with Michael Waltrip Racing will also remain in place.

"Our sponsors are happy and coming back," Geschickter concluded. "We've got the funding in place for next year, but we certainly still have some paint that we could offer up to a company that wants to partner with us. We'll look to make sure that we have plenty of logos on the car at every race next year. ... It helps getting this announcement done early, so people know exactly what we're about and what we're offering next year."

Yes! Yes! Yes! They have sponsorship!

I know, he won't be start-and-parking like with TRG. I considered that an insult to Bobby, I'm sure he was furious about it too.

Bobby will gove that 47 car a bunch of strong runs. I'm not sure if they will win a race but then again you cant count anyone at Talladega, and Daytona from now on

Should be fun to watch next year.

this is so bittersweet i love labonte and as hungry as he is he will give the 47 crew some strong runs but if marcous is going to rpm like ive heard he is in for a suprise that team aside from kasey kahne and elliot sadler do not have the leadership and proer funding and technology needed to run in contention next year for anything i wouldnt be suprised to see them fold in the next two years or become s and p i really wanted better for marcous

Well that has alot to do with the driver though, MWR is a top team.

But pretty much on the same team as MWR, which has 2 wins.

Still, he'll have a much better shot at running well in the 47, than he has had with the 71, the 96, or the 09. I'll even throw his tenure in the 43 on that list.

MWR is improving, and this could potentially be Bobby's most competitive ride since he left Gibbs.
