I went to the Vegas race this year (Nationwide and Cup) and while it was a blast, the racing wasn't the most intense. There were some good battles, but not the kind you get at Texas or Darlington or Bristol. I think I loved it because I was at a race and that's never a bad thing, no matter where you're at. :)

To each their own. I went to Texas in 05 when Biffle won and they had the LONGEST green flag run ever. I got up to use the bathroom and that's when Smoke blew up and caught fire. LOL.

I may be a bit biased but I would love to see a Cup or Nationwide race at Palm Beach.

I don't know, but I think after that Road America race this year, I like that track or Mexico for a 3rd Cup date. I know it'll never happen, but I can dream dangit.

sebring? lol :twitcy:

Vegas may not be "boring", but i dont want to see the same tracks every week. kansas, kentucky, vegas, chicago... difference please? they may drive different, but at the end of the day the racing is the same.

i don't understand nascars love with the 1.5 milers... why? how do they bring in more money? or boost ratings? or even save teams money? what's the appeal?

Put the Infineon date at Road America, and move Infineon to Auto Club's second date.

3 RC's, 1 in the chase, and 1 less Auto Club borefest.

I say get out the old ChampCar course and make the Vegas race a Street Course.

Though that's impossible unless Goodyear can make the tire that can withstand a stock car on a street course.

Goodyear can't make a tire that can withstand a stock car on an oval.

Kentucky and Las Vegas are the two best 1.5 mile tracks out there. Shame Vegas couldn't get a second date.

If this were to happen I wouldn't be happy.....
I think NASCAR should keep the same ammount of dates in the South west that they have now. If your going to take a date from California.... give it to Vegas.... We have race fans down here too.

So we lose a 2mile D-shaped oval & a 1.5mile Quad Oval and we gain two 1.5 mile Tri-Ovals with dang near Identical banking.

I'm not seeing any kind of Win here.

I don't like Atlanta losing a date. Atlanta ftw!

I would put Iowa Speedway on the Cup schedule before I would give Kentucky a date.

Change the Fontana and Atlanta dates back and trade Fontana's dates for Rockingham and Darlington. I believe those dates worked for 30+ years.

Hi guys, we need to keep our race's here at Michigan. I mean all our jobs are gone, so at least we should keep the two races that we have here.

Well, tell the Cup guys to race harder. While I like Michigan for it's history and everything, the Cup races are getting more and more boring lately. The only time a race can be exciting at tracks like that anymore is if it's Indy or the trucks racing. It just seems like the Cup guys lay back for awhile until the end.
