I just got a new PC and installed NR2003 and the SS.Net COT MOD. My FPS is about 30 and sometimes goes down to 8-9 during the race. I used the graphics tweaker as well and not much improvement. I was wondering if anybody here could kindly assist?

Here are the stats of my PC:

Windows Vista Home Premium 6.0 Build 6001
HP Pavilion GC671AAR-ABA a6130n
AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core Processor 5000 + (2CPUs) 2.6Hz
Memory 2942MB RAM
Page File 1455MB used, 4652MB Available
DirectX10

Graphics Card:

GeForce 6150SE nForce 430
Total Avail. Graphics Memory: 1342 MB
Dedicated Video Memory: 128 MB

Monitor:

PolyView Monitor 1280 by 1024

I tried running it in both OpenGl and Direct and neither really works any better than the other. Please let me know if you can help or need further info.

Thanks a ton in advance!!!!!

Try a lower monitor resolution and lowering some of the graphics options. That onboard card isn't too good...plus the SS.net mod is a system hog. Is this a laptop?

Hi Thanks! No it is a desktop. When you say "lower the monitor resolution" you mean like go down to 1024 x 768? Do you have a suggestion on a video card too? Thanks!

Yeah give that shot (you could go down to 800x600 if you needed to, but 1024x768 is pretty much the basics these days). Video Cards really depend on what you want out of your computer, and it's also heavilly budget dependable.

Graphic cards really range but your prolly not a huge gamer that needs a $1,000 plus graphics card. So with that,

PNY GTX 275 896MB PCI-Express Video Card $249
BFG GeForce 9800GTX+ OC 512MB PCI-Express Video Card $179

Better yet - GeForce 9800 GX2

Or the best - BFG GTX 295 1.75GB PCI-Express 2.0 Video Card $499

Thanks! I really appreciate the replies. Can anyone give me an idea (based on my PC specs) what I should put in the Texturesize=xxxxxxxxx portion of the .ini file?

Thanks again!
