Make Day tracks Night

Is there anyway to make a day track into a night track? I'm guessing there is probably a way to change the skyline or something but I don't know how to do that. Any help is appreciated.

It's not that easy...I asked this question a while ago and I got further than I ever thought I would. I didn't finish converting it but like I said I got further than I ever would have imagined. Thanks!! This is way over my head! I'm following the steps in the other post but how do I take the lightpoles from another track and put them in the folder of the track I'm wanting to edit?

You have to unpack the .dat file using WinMip2

Ok, I did that. Do you know the names of the files?

Well, it depends on what track .dat you unpacked. Look for a .3do file called "lightpole" or something like that.

Also what I discovered is that when you place lights make sure you have it well-lit because 5-6 light poles won't light up a whole track and will make for really dark spots.

Thanks for all the help, but this stuff is so above me I think I would need step-by-step instructions to do this. I'll keep playing around with it and see if I can figure something out.
