The Truck series I have seems to be quite a bit slower than the NWS cars where as in reality they can run similar speeds at speedway tracks. Is there an easy way to increase their speed to that of the NWS, such as using the NWS chassis?

Mess with the driver ratings

You misunderstand me, it's not that the AI are slow, it overall that the trucks are slow, so my truck is slow as well. They seem to have not enough power and/or too much drag. I would like to have them based on the NWS cars and just wondered if there was a way to do this.

You pretty much answered it yourself there. Too much drag. Take away some drag in the ini.

Just use gns physics if you want them to run like the nationwide cars. Search the forums there are plenty of threads on changing physics.

Thanks, I'll have a read. I wasn't sure if that's what I needed to do or there was another way around it.

For some reason I always thought the CTS physics were faster than the GNS physics, especially at places like Daytona. I'll have to look into that. But for the most part they are spot on as far as how you drive them. If you watch the truck race tonight, they barely even lift, maybe just a crack of the gas to get them to sit, but thats usually about it. I think the Nationwide cars, even the old ones, are like that too due to lack of horsepower.

P.s. They probably will lift alittle more because I forgot Kentucky has a low degree of banking, but the driving style is the same.

I was tweaking the track.ini for Atlanta 2010 revamped track and even with every thing adjusted the same as the GNS the trucks are quite a bit slower where as in reality their lap speed are very similar (the trucks seem to be a touch faster).

Now I have converted my trucks to GNS I can obviously match the GNS lap speeds which are slower than my CUP cars.

I know you can get the BR mod with CTS physics also, which I don't understand since the lower power in that physics which is kind of why I asked the question if there a way to make the trucks faster.

If you look at the physics specs - CUP 706HP 567lb ft, GNS 622HP 546lb ft and CTS 575HP 520lb ft, which makes sense as to why the truck are slow in the game. May be I should try the BR mod with CTS physics to see how that runs.

I run custom setups but the CTS physics are slower - if you run equivalent custom setups on the CTS and the GNS then the GNS will be faster.

I believe the only difference in physics in NR2003 are the RPM's, the shifting times vary.
