I've got a brand new project to show you all! This is Manhattan Raceway Stadium! It's a half mile oval set inside a stadium in downtown New York city! The track features dual "BR" style grip for two lanes of racing. It features turns banked at 17 degrees and straights banked at 10.

Unfortunately, the track only allows 25 cars. I've never worked with Bristol-style dual pits, and I didn't want to create some awful mess trying it now.

The track will be released over at Racetrack Central on March 12th!

A dirt version of the track is also in the works and should be ready for a release by late March or early May!

This track is a rework of the existing Peachstate track with the proper mechanical and cosmetic upgrades to play to it's fullest potential.

And now, as with all my tracks, a video preview: (I got a little more fancy with it this time, so if you like it tell me!)

Really cool track. Reminds me of a mix of Dodge Raceway Stadium from EA and a hockey arena. Can't wait to download it :D

What I did with my track is create two pits, but combine them with an armco in turns 3+4 to treat it as one pit :D

I thought it was impossible for NR2003 AI to know hoe to use 2 pit-lanes?

To an extent. The AI could use them both, but the pits could not be treated as one under caution and as two separate pit lanes under green. It was always two different pit lanes.

Oh, it's definitely possible. However, it's impossible to have 3 or more pit lanes.

The dual pit lane functionality is completely built in, I've used it in the past, and there are some tracks out there that utilize it, one that come to mind is 1998 Darlington.

In fact, you can have a pitlane with cars pitting on both sides by making both "pit lanes" share the same pit road, Golden Gate does that.

True. However, the short tracks are the only ones that treated both pit lanes as one under yellow, Darlington and Rockingham didn't [if you're on the back pit, you'd go to the tail end of the 1st pit lane's line].

Of course, this is a shorttrack . . . . .

It could be done, but I've never really messed with it before. All of my other creations have been Speedways/SuperSpeedways where the stalls were all nice and uniform and easy to control. Making them curve can be a bit tricky.

I've thought about wrapping the pitlane around through 3 and 4, but the only problem with that is it's going to take away the apron, and running the low line is going to put you right up against the wall. I've already dealt with that when I did Littlefield and it seems people HATE not having an apron below them.

If I were to make the track 43 cars compatible I'd have separate pit lanes, one on the backstretch and one on the front. That would force you to enter out of turn 3 and ride around and exit at turn 1. I'd open up the wall going into three to free up the apron, but it would draw a penalty if you were to exit from there. That also makes going a lap down under yellow much more probable, so it's a real double edged sword.

I've had a few guys offer to assist in this, and I'm going to think it over for a day or two and then decide whether or not to keep it as is, or try to extend the pitlane.

Good track. Just like flyersfan4888, it reminds me of that dodge raceway stadium. That track was kind of fun actually.

Tell them to suck it up :p

Yeah, I know, right? If you race that wall respectfully, and even give it about a half car-widths cushion it doesn't affect you, and it even makes you a week bit faster.

But, that said, gotta go with what the public wants >_<

Or you could make the pits Martinsville/North Wilkesboro style and have the entry/exit on the back stretch.

Just some suggestions :D

That looks neat! Nice song choice for the video. Shame, that song just started getting airplay when unfortunately 9/11 happened. I've never heard it played on the radio after that day. I hate forced pollitical correctness! Sorry I digress.

Great Work!

It was kinda funny, I was looking for a song for the video listening to that song and I pulled a Beavis ands Butthead style "Uh... Oh yeah..."

Then I got cute with it and put the "I feel safe in a cage" during Dale Junior's crash.
