Martinsville truck race body style question

Yesterday watching the truck race I noticed not everyone is driving the new style truck. There were a few still driving last years version of the Ford and Chevy, not sure about Toyota. Does anyone know the rule for this? I'm thinking maybe the new style is mandatory on the SS tracks, maybe, not sure. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the rule is that you must use the new body style on tracks 1.5 miles or larger (excluding the roadcourse race in Canada).

Yea I was thinking something similar. But I thought it was an across the board change for everyone. I was surprised to see it and can't believe I hadn't noticed before. Thanks.

Yes It's to ease the financial burden on the teams (Mainly the smaller teams) NASCAR will allow teams to run their choice of either 2013 or the newly introduced 2014 body designs at speedways measuring 1.25 miles or less.

It was the same way with the Chevy Camaro in the Nationwide Series last year.
Some of the smaller teams were still using the Chevy Impala.
