I'm watching the race and noticing a lot of 2009 sprint cup cars that I don't have. Maybe someone should compile a new 2009 carset.

Yeah, like a carset of secondary schemes.

The paint schemes change from week to week, so I'm sure the individual cars will be painted and available for download in the future.

Well, it seems no body stuck with the schemes from Daytona. Plus there are a few drivers missing from the 2009 compilation.

I understand a weekly change from week to week. but that is only a handful of drivers each week. They ALL have a standard paint scheme. Like Gordan has is dupont chevy and it's standard paint scheme. Pretty much all I'm saying is that there needs to be another compilation for 2009 of all the standard paints. not special cars or alternatives. Just the standard cars for all of the drivers.

By time the end of the season gets here the complete carset will be done. I swear next year I'm going to have an 80% 2010 carset complete by time they get to Daytona in July. I'm too impatient to wait on everyone else lol.

at my count, there have currently been 247 schemes run since daytona with a significant enough change for me to count it as different. I might have missed some, so probably between 247-260 run.

Hey, georgia boy. me to. Anyway, I think I was misunderstood. I'm not saying a car set with EVERY paint scheme this season.

To clarify, Sam Hornish Jr., He's known for driving the Mobile1 car. But he's been driving the Penske car. So is he now driving the Penske car or is this a special scheme that's only temporary?

hes driven the penske car once... talladega... and the AAA Auto Club car only once also im pretty sure... i dont necessarily see a reason for a new carset persay... but as we get more cars complete, maybe carsets divided up by tracks in the future? just an idea...

That's a good thought. My problem is is that I just want to make sure my carset is up to date. No necessarily week by week but maybe month by month or what not. I am still using the same car set from Daytona.

I've not been keeping up with it due to the fact that I don't really care for the "specialty" cars. Instead I just want their normal cars. Like if Tony Stewart had a purple and pink flame car for a certain Sunday (God Forbid), I wouldn't want it. I just want his standard red and white car. I just want the normal cars, cut the fat. You know?

Oh my bad man; i must not have understood you haha. I got you now though; because it is kinda hard to keep up with every single car.

That yellow 77 does look freakin' sweet and it was done really really well.

Yeah it is really hard and just a lot of work that I really don't feel like putting in. That's why was just making sure no one's "Standard" car has changed or any of the non-sponsored cars from Daytona are now sponsored. Etc.

No painter could keep up with all the change to the paint scheme over the year for any season around the world.

I count that there has been 170 cars for nascar, 158 cars for nationwide ,139 cars for camping trucks, 98 cars for the Aussie Super V8 and 48 F1 cars

So if you wish to give sleep ,work and going out , you can give it a push

If you want an update from the 2009 carset from daytona....simply download the cars that have been uploaded individually since then. I don't think you will find a "generic" version of the #24, #88, #96 0r #87 anywhere to use overall at all the tracks.

There is so much work pertaining to painting the cars & crews & then getting a carset ready for download that it is much, much more easier for the artists here to upload them when they get them completed rather than waiting for all the artists to get all the schemes done from a particular race & then upload an "updated" carset. We would get burned out in a matter of weeks if we had to constantly put out a carset.

Thanks Jason. That's basically what I needed to know. You got the idea. I just wanted a genereic #24 and so forth to cover all the tracks. Thanks! It's not that I'm needing all the cars from each race. just from the 2009 season.

Man, that's insane, keeping track of paint schemes in that many series I mean. I've been keeping track of just cup cars, maybe we should compare notes, I'm getting 251 currently and I'm expecting to hit about 253-255 by the time they leave Darlington, I'd be interested to see what others have found.
