Wow, how about this. It's already time to start thinking about 2018. I don't believe it really, but I've been eagerly awaiting this for like 9 months haha. But anyways! 2018 brings along some fun things! New body styles, a couple new drivers, and of course, new paint schemes! So, stay tuned as we embark down this new journey, yet again! Credits for this set go to the usual suspects, Splash N' Go/Cosmin for the mod and templates. BER, SRD, Masgrafx, Google, Alan H., Nick Baker, and more for various resources. Here we go!

Returning for his third year of full time competition will be 29 year old Jason Monahan, from Indianapolis, IN. Monahan drives for Midwest Motorsports, which has gone from a 3 car team in 2016, down to a 1 car team entering 2018. They have formed an alliance with Weatherton Motorsports for this season, and they hope to improve their results, basically becoming a third Weatherton car. Monahan only has one top ten in his Cup career, but last year he scored 2 wins in the truck series. He's hoping to have some good things happen for this year, in hopes of keeping his partially owned Cup team up and running.

Brandeis will return covering 30 of the 36 races for this season.
    26Brandeis1.png

Komatsu will be primary sponsor for 4 races.
    26Komatsu1.png

Nibco will sponsor the remaining 2 races for the season.
    26Nibco1.png

Next up here we have the first driver for Weatherton Motorsports. Gus St. Pierre will be back behind the wheel of the #61 this season. The 26 year old from Baltimore, MD has had success in the previous 2 years. He finished 12th in the standings in each year, scoring 2 wins, 16 top 5s, and 27 top 10s. Although he went winless in 2017, he hopes to return to victory lane with his Weatherton team, as they've been out of VL since mid-2016.

The familiar SteelSeries colors will return to the #61, sponsoring 24 races this year.
    61SteelSeries1.png

Getting a fresh redesign is returning sponsor Inlet Digital, in partnership with Pitney Bowes. They will run this scheme in 12 races in 2018.
    61InletDigital1.png

Well, that's all for now. Very excited to begin this project! Thanks for following along!

Thanks guys! Here's our next driver.

Shane Dillon drives the second Weatherton Motorsports Toyota. The 25 year old from Monroe, LA is also known as a very sponsor friendly driver. Always smiling, thanking his fans and supporters, and driving fast and clean. Although he hasn't had a ton of success, he's very consistent in what he does, and almost always brings it home in one piece. Hoping to have some better results in 2018, he will try to race his Camry to the front this year. Scoring 6 top 5s in 2016, and 16 top 10s throughout his two seasons thus far, Shane hopes to bring his Weatherton Motorsports family a trophy this year.

Elmer's Products will return to the #97 car for 20 races this year.
    97ElmersGlue1.png

Racetrac gets a bit of a redesign for this year, as it is nearly the same scheme as the primary, in an attempt to have some unity within his paint schemes. This scheme will run for 6 races.
    97Racetrac1.png

TaxSlayer will also be on board for 6 races, sporting the same design from last year. They will sponsor 3 of the 4 restrictor plate tracks.
    97TaxSlayer1.png

And a new sponsor for this season, his father's company, Dillon Transport will hop on board for 4 night races this season.

Next driver is ready for his cars to be revealed! Our first Ford driver to be shown off here.

Paul Jones just turned 21 over the offseason, but even in his 3rd year of competition he's still the second youngest competitor out there. After a solid 2016 season, with 2 poles, a win, and a 22nd place points finishing, the Long Haul Racing driver from Sullivan, MO was riding pretty high after his rookie campaign. Unfortunately, the sophomore slump hit him pretty hard in 2017. He only scored 2 top 10s compared to his 10 in 2016, and finished 32nd in the standings. Still, heading into this season, a crew chief change and the addition of a new teammate gives our young gun some much needed confidence.

Super 8 will continue their sponsorship of the #8 for 25 races in 2018. A redesign of the primary scheme gives him a sleeker look heading into the new season.
    8Super81.png

Joining him for 7 races is a sponsor new to the series. Bargain retailer Five Below jumps on board the #8 car, hoping to appeal to the younger audience in the sport.
    8FiveBelow1.png

And lastly for Jones, Hertz Rental Cars returns to the team with 4 races slated on the schedule for this season. This scheme also received a fresh design hoping to turn around his past season woes.

Thanks for looking! Stay tuned as usual for more!

Well might as well add my 8 cents here. I'm not sure about that one #8 car. I think it's about Five Below the mark. Lol. Kidding, of course. All your cars look awesome.

Thanks fellas! Puns and all haha

Next driver up pilots the second Long Haul Racing Ford. 30 year old Rick Vancovsky from Lewiston, ID is looking forward to another solid season. Despite having an excellent 2016 season, scoring 3 wins, and 16 top 10s, and finishing 10th in the standings, 2017 didn't fare as well for him. He only scored 3 top 10s and finished 25th in points. Hoping to turn it around this year, he's ready to bring it to Daytona and find some speed.

Exide Batteries will return to the #33 for 24 races this year.
    33Exide1.png

Rinnai returns as well with 8 races on board.
    33Rinnai1.png

New primary sponsor for 4 races this season will be Echostar. They will also serve as a full time associate sponsor for the #33 team.
    33Echostar1.png

Our next driver is the third competitor for Long Haul Racing. Cal Baxter, the 26 year old from Atlanta, GA is hoping to have a better season than the last 2. In the past couple years, he's racked up 8 top 10s and also scored a win in 2017. Even though he finished outside the top 25 in both previous years, his team has stayed loyal to him as he tries to have a much improved 2018 campaign.

Kingsford returns to the #86 Ford for 30 races in 2018.
    86Kingsford1.png

Retail giant Meijer will also join the #86 as a primary sponsor in 6 races this year.

Did you forget to tilt the number on the right side of the #86? It looks like the top of the number isn't parallel with the window. Also, the #97 Elmer's has an inconsistency with the rest of the schemes where the right side number is skewed backward. Aside from those things, great work as usual, especially on the 33's!

The #86 is tilted with the base, though it does look a little odd the way it's sitting. And I noticed the #97 the other day and just forgot to go back and fix it haha. Thanks bud!

The 33's make me exided to see what's next. I would have put Richard Petty in the 86 though, so it could really be the King's Ford... ;)

    Thanks guys!

Next up is a driver who has, beginning in 2018, a close alliance with the Long Haul Racing group. Julian McCarrington and the McCarrington Motorsports guys. The 23 year old, with help from his family wealth, has been making a go of it for a couple of years now, with little success. At least in the Cup series. He's finished outside the top 40 in points each year, with only one top 5 in his career. Though, last year he made attempts in every truck race, with much better results. Although he didn't make it to victory lane, he scored 12 top 5s and 17 top 10s, a very solid showing. Hoping to improve just a little bit this year, the Atlanta native returns to the track in the #05 Ford.

Traqgear will join him yet again for his third Cup campaign, covering 29 races this year.
    05Traqgear1.png

America's Mart, local Atlanta shopping center will cover the remaining 7 races for McCarrington this year.
