Did some detail work to the Impala BR2012 templates and updated some of the contigs.

If you all are interested, your more than welcome to have em to post or use at your own discretion since Im not a SRD member I'll have to email the files. They are in PSP format.

And these are in no way meant to take away from the awesome work that the temp/mod staff here at SRD has done.

Also, BIG thanks to Spide-Dan for all his render scenes and model work.

Love the simracingusa site Matt!!! Great work!

Whoa, everthing there is awesome man. We can definitely put it up for download. Any chance we can generalize the add-ons, in other words, have you seen if the other makes have these details?

The rivets and bolts should be the same across the templates since the locations are basically the same on a generic tube chassis. I can add them onto the basic templates and update them as well.

Any problem with adding a few notes to the mask layer? ie, size, position, rotation info for the roof cam decals, etc? Just a little info to help speed up the build process. I have put the black decal label on the roof as seen in the top shot that some teams use, but I think I need to revise that a little after looking at it more.

Also, have an updated contig worksheet built up that works with the templates a little better too as shown in the screen shots. Rebuilt them with my scans and reset a couple of the proportions on a few of them.

IM me an email address to send these to.

Nice work, reminds me of Snowman's camera decals he did. Also did you add the black cowl layer that was not in the original templates at mod release time?

Im trying to locate some rear pics with the cams on there. They USED to have an oval plate that bolted to the old cams and would apply the decals there, but havent looked at the new models. I'll have to run through my ref pics and verify. But the roof cam, I have seen ran with the decal backing as I have shown now and with just decals applied directly, so it will be an option.

Hmmm. The ones I downloaded (within the last few weeks) have the cowl blackout in the template already. I havent opened the other makes yet besides the chevy yet. But that shouldnt be a problem to fix. I can check it when I start adding the details to the others.

Checker, I'll let you know when Im done cooking! :tomato:

Woof, any chance of a front shot of that? I think the actual arc decal is off of the camera (not touching). Im looking for more detail pics, but just not having much luck. Having to go off of what I see on some of the cars on raceday cam shots.

They look good.Any chance can You convert them into psd?

If anyone has PSD and Corel PSP10, I can let them convert them over to PSD. Only thing I worry about is the layer groupings. I am OCD :p about organizing the layers... Grills are grouped, decals are grouped, wheels/tires are grouped, etc... It just makes layer management a lot easier for the options I add in.

And remember... These files are HUGE because of all the add ins, details and options I have put in.

Awesome job Joey. The attention to detail is great, and in my opinion, its those small details that really make a difference.

It would be cool to see someone do some minor tweaking to the NNS temps as well. Dont get me wrong, they definitely look great and theres nothing wrong with them, but theres always room for improvement in the small details. I actually wouldnt mind doing some myself, but I've got more than a full plate with all the modified work. It would be a long time before I'd be able to get into anything else.

A good example is the Challenger taillights. I know exactly where they came from because I used the same image when I was making NNS temps for BR11 (before the NNS mod came out). They dont look bad or anything like that, but theres some minor tweaking that would give them a little more of an actual taillight decal look, rather than a taillight decal that was taken from a photo (I threw a side-by-side together for comparison).

I just figured I'd throw that out there in case maybe you, or someone else, was interested in doing some detail tweaks like you've done on the BR temps. Again, theres nothing wrong with the current temps at all. I'm not even sure who made them, but whoever it was, they did a great job. At the end of the day, I think theres always going to be some who are more picky and/or detail-oriented than others, and therefore, can always find little details to improve on.

Yes, it is the minor tweeks that set things off. You guys are on the right track to make something even better. I tend to do that when I get the urge to. Too busy at the moment as I am working on a project that is taking up my time.
