According to Jayski,

Ware joins forces with MaxQ: Rick Ware Racing and Poynt.com (free mobile app.) have finalized a deal to run Timmy Hill for the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year. "I am very excited to have our sponsor and driver make a move up to the Sprint Cup Series" says owner Rick Ware. RWR will run the full Sprint Cup schedule with sponsor Poynt on board. Mike Wallace will drive the 54th annual Daytona 500. Timmy Hill, the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Rookie of the Year, will be at Daytona in his Poynt Nationwide Ford. Hill will start driving the #37 full time at Auto Club in March or Texas in April. RWR has joined forces with Larry Gunselman's Max Q Motorsports #37 for the full season. The Sprint Cup operation will run out of RWR's new 24,000 sq. ft. facility across the street from RWR's Nationwide and Rolex programs. Hill's crew chief will be veteran Bill Henderson. Ken Glen formerly of KHI will serve as Competition Director and Larry Gunselman will be General Manager of the #37 Poynt.com Ford.(Rick Ware Racing PR)(2-15-2012)

w00t, good luck Mike!

Mike is always a good restrictor plate driver, wouldn't be shocked at all if he can pull a top 20.

As far as Timmy Hill I'm worried they're moving him up too soon, he could have really benefited from another season or 2 in N'wide, he had a solid year this year I just don't know if he's ready for the big time yet, I've seen too many drivers not fulfill their potential b/c they were rushed to Cup

Absolutely. It doesn't look like their equipment will be top notch either. I'd love to see Hill succeed though.

I had an idea last night to make a Timmy Hill cup fictional...then I couldn't think of a team, but the number 37. Weird reading this now. But I think Mike will score a top 15, and Timmy may have a couple good runs if they don't park.

I, too, think they are rushing him too quickly. He was an alright racer last season in Nationwide. However, he wasn't spectacular. He was in sub-par equipment. Who were his ROTY competitors? I mean, Kevin Conway won ROTY in 2010. I just think this was a push by Poynt. They wanted Sprint Cup exposure and Gunselman could give it to them within their budget.

I feel bad for Josh Wise. He got screwed, but that's how racing goes!

Great... just what NASCAR needs: another uncontested ROTY. The award has lost serious traction... I remember when the award was prestigious when Matt Kenseth and Dale Jr. were fighting for it back in 2000/2001. Now it's just become a laughing stock....
