Don't know if this thread will get as much attention as the NHL & NFL discussion threads.

Red Sox didnt make the Playoffs this year. Anyone else shocked, or did u think there performance to the end of the season was a bit dull?

Not a baseball fan at all, but I caught the end of the Baltimore/Boston game. I flipped when Baltimore won, I guess its the inner Baltimore fanboy in me. Or maybe it was an underdog win. I don't know.

Well, that was my 1 post in this thread. I will most likely never return.

Honestly didn't expct the Sox to make it, they seemed lacking this year in both pitching and mental consistency. I'm on the fence about Francona too, yeah he may be a scapegoat, but...he's also turned the team around in 04-05. Then again, the team's slid the past year and a half IMO, so...like I said, on the fence.

As for Baltimore, good luck in the ALDS and ALCS. That's as far as you'll go.

That last night, was the greatest night in MLB history. What a battle for the wildcard that was!!!!
This coming from a Yankee fan, I was hoping for the Rays to win!

Being a Red Sox fan, these past two days have been hard for me.

It was a pretty bummer year for Giants fans, too. Especially with all of the injuries. I was at the game where Posey got freight-trained at the plate...that was terrible. They were just dropping like flies for a while there. Once they have Buster and Freddy Sanchez back in there with possibly Belt and a leaner, meaner Panda on top of the pitching they've had recently, they'll have another shot at the post season in '12.

Thought they were, I get lost with the playoff system and who is in and out. I also thought Baltimore had an NHL team for some bizarre reason.

Yankees & Tigers are also at 1-1.

Brewers have two game wins over D-Backs who I thought would get past the first round.
