I've decided that I will try to learn 3D modeling and my first project is a Ford Mustang. I'll be posting daily updates witch pictures on my progress!

As for what I have now,

I didn't intend on it, if someone wishes to use my model for a mod then I'd be fine with releasing the model.

I've always wanted to do what you are doing, and that is some great looking work you are doing there!

I second the call for an SCCA pony car mod

Cool Alex, I've always been jealous about some of the guys around here who can model and create fantastic renderings. I wanted to try it out and it's a blast.

I third it.

Kinda like an update to the PTA mod, Mustang, Challenger, Camaro and then a 4th car that's maybe generic enough that it could be used for a Pontiac/Charger/Caddy.

The hard part is when I get to the really detailed areas such as the front grille, lights, windows, wheels, tires. I'm going to do my best to keep it all in 3ds Max and not just throw a texture on it. I believe this is where the line separates from the high quality models and the lower quality models.
