Modern Warfare 2 question

In My machine I have:

-AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 5000+, 64-bit dual core processor
Each core operates at 2.6 GHz
-2gb RAM (going to expand to 4gb soon)
-Hard Drive 500 GB
-nVidia GeForce 8500GT w/1gb mem.
-Windows Vista Home Premium OS (32-bit)

Now is this enough to run COD Modern Warfare 2? I know my specs exceed the requirements but sometimes I get a game that is way below my specs and it still runs horrible. But is this enough to get at least 40-50 fps?

Likely. I run my Call of Duty on a Windows 7, and I get about 30 fps.

That doesn't sound too bad. Is W7 more of a memory hog than Win Vista?

Likely, hence the higher RAM requirement for Vista/7 users.
