I tried the camo over the whole car, it looked too busy. Felt a balance was needed.

Some fancier numbers would make it look 100x better.

I went through about 20 or 30 fonts trying to find the right one. Figured I would go for big and bold.

I actually think the simple number compliments the car very well imo. Very solid scheme, I love it.

Yeah I think the number is hard to get perfect for a monster car. However, when the number doesn't match but it's still pretty neutral, as is the case here, I like to imagine it's a one off deal. When you don't get to be the primary sponsor on a car in the real world you usually don't get numbers tailor made to fit the scheme, so in that sense the #s look fine to me.
