More changes to the windshield banner

I can completely care less about this. I see how this is no different than Nationwide, Trucks or ARCA putting the series name in that spot, like Burtonbraves said no one will even notice this while watching on tv or in the stands.

I don't mind the banner not that anyone cares but I'm getting alittle irritated that they are getting closer to making the cars very similar to the IROC series and...............we all know how that turned out.

NASCAR ≠ IROC.

NASCAR = a highly popularized worldwide conglomerate racing series funded by many corporate sponsors.

IROC = a series which had many struggles, was dominated by North American oval drivers, gasped for sponsorship, and was owned by a sole entrepreneur.

This makes total sense. Of course if you've never seen anything but NASCAR you're gonna struggle with any or all changes, it's never gonna be what everybody wants and it's never gonna be like it was yesterday either, trust me been watching these changes for the last 43 years.

If you want talk about stupid useless changes let's talk about the NASCAR.com 2013 site changes... every year that make it harder and harder for some of us to find anything worth going over there for...

It looks better than just the generic-text name by itself, but I still think that they should have went with the driver's signature on the banner instead of premade lettering, imo. They should have also probably replaced either the left or right manu logo with the team's logo.

Yeah, the new site is total garbage. I only used it in the past few years because it was easy to see the ownership, manufacturer and rookie standings (or a race-by-race sheet for those and the driver's standings) with it and now it's practically impossible to do that.

What I meant was not that the series are similar but the cars are as far as painting them. They are smaller in the 1/4s and there is practicly no "C" post anymore to put any thing on. Shallow on my part I know, but I love to paint these things. And I agree with these changes making the cars look more like production cars, I just hate to lose surface.

As for the change itself...it's not like they'll slap stickers on every part of the car, a la pretty much every European sports jersey ever.

I like addition of the manufacturer logos to the windshield but maybe put it on one side and then the Sprint/Cup Series logo on the other side of the driver's name.

Not a surprise...Every closed-roof racing series in the world since the 70s has utilized the windshield banner for ad space...

etc. etc.

I think they should add the teams logo on one side instead of have manufacturer logo on both sides
