In all seriousness it's cool Morgan is back in Cup, and he's doing the N'wide race too.

I would laugh at that, but man, I feel so, so bad. That's just embarrassing. You work your ass off to get to cup, and then that happens.

I am indifferent to Morgan coming back. He's been around for so long, it really doesn't phase me. Props to him for getting out there at 71 years old though. Wow.

You pretty much read my mind on that one. Only thing I could think of is maybe Morgan has a sponsor he brought with him so that could help? Though it looked like the 52 had it's normal sponsors on it.

Morgan brings notoriety and attention to the car. That alone can help pay the bills depending on how everything's structured.

Shepherd could race again in Cup; has ride for 2014 Daytona 500: At 71, Morgan Shepherd took the wheel of the #52 Toyota in the Camping World RV 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and became the oldest driver to start a race in NASCAR's Sprint Cup series. Shepherd said he's working on sponsorship to race again this season, possibly the August race at Pocono. Glad to see him still racing. Now Mark can't retire until he's at least 74, so expect him to be racing til 2025+ XD

It depends on what equipment he is in. If it's Brian Keselowski's stuff again, it's a slim chance. But put him in something like TBR or even NEMCO and he's in.

Considering the fact that only 45 cars were on the entry list for the 500, and that there have only been 43 in recent weeks, I'm sure he'll make it.
