Hi, (sorry should read 2003 season !)
this is my first post, I've just got hold of a copy of NR2003, better late than never I suppose!
I have played just about every pc race sim since Papyrus's Indy 500 on the Amiga/Atari, and somehow this one slipped past my radar for many years. After a couple of hours of play, wow, it is excellent, easily on a par with rFactor and most others after all these years.

I've patched the game to 1201 and got it running on Windows 7. I'm going to play the 2003 season for now before modding anything, but just wondered if anyone has any advice, anything that is worth knowing rather than discovering it for myself, for example, are there any tracks that need the difficulty adjusting, or do I need to edit the number of cautions or mistakes by AI, or anything that's worth doing before I start my season,

Many thanks, Drivers..............Start....your....enginessssssss !

Well, you might want to start with different tracks.
A.I racing on in-game tracks tend to either wreck, go without cautions and end up with 3-5 people on the lead lap, or (on superspeedways) get into a repetitive cycle of lead changes.
A lot of the BR tracks (Brian Ring is the gentleman who made them) or TR tracks (Tally Rally, I believe) have fantastic, realistic A.I races.
Link to some:
Open Speedway's N2003 Tracks Page
(Atlanta, Texas, Bristol Night, Daytona Night, DaytonaMOD1 (Openspeedway's version), Dover, DaytonaTR, Lowe's (now Charlotte) Night, Michigan, Richmond, Rockingham, and Talladega.)
These tracks are good, too (Must register to get them):

Have fun, and keep diggin'.

Thanks for both those comments, I'll look at the other tracks, & definitely edit the ratings, the NRatings program looks good. Also, the auto difficulty system in this game looks very good, I'm surprised a few other sims haven't learnt from this :)
