Nicely said, hoosier...a well formed, level headed argument. I agree with everything you said.

Thanks Mike and Mark, I can get other examples if you would like. I used that one because it was recent, but yes, I DO agree with you that it is up for debate as to how a huge rock island can disappear.

Huge? A race track was bigger than this thing, you could probably walk about it in less than in fourty minutes. lol It was only about a mile long and wide, and it's not gone, it's just submerged, and was very low to the surface for most of it's existance, with an estimated elevation of six feet at the highest point during low tide. We aren't talking about Maui here.

Your right. That's not big in comparison to Maui. But lets take Amelia Island in Florida for instance. Population of a couple thousand people depending on the season. It's highest elevation is 14ft and 20-25 feet at low tide. If a island, or stick in the water, or a rock, or whatever that is 6 feet above the ocean become completely submerged in 10+/- years, than what happens in 20 or 30 or 100. The fact is is that I don't care about a new sandbar in the Bay of Bengal but, what I do take it as, is a sign. At one point we may find ourselves at a point of no return. That's why conservation along with other things are important now.

After reading all these posts I'm about dying of laughter at people who believe global warming is real. It's some stupid way for the government to get money, look at 2012, everyone believes were all gonna die. Well here's something for instance, lets go back 4 years ago June 6th, 2006 a.k.a 666. How everyone believed that Satan was coming from hell to destroy us or something like that. Then a decade ago when Y2K in 2000 was the uprise of computers that would overpower us and kill us. Now if you guys hate me for this I don't care honestly. I feel the government runs low on money sometimes and they need ways to get some, from us who already pays taxes like the stupid health care form. So yeah 2012 could be real like the Mayans predicted but thats my opinion. Thank you and good night!

So you're comparing global warming (which has some scientific backing, that is just a fact, regardless if you believe it or not, there is at least some evidence) to a prediction made by a dead society, and a date happened to read 666 if you took out 3 numbers?

btw, google Y2k, maybe you'll know what it actually was....

I will work backwards here. The part in purple, nobody would hate you. However the part in green, you are probably offending people who do. In red, I don't know anybody who is that dedicated to religion. The part in blue had nothing to do with computers taking over the world. However, you probably saw that Simpsons episode where this was the theory. The actual Y2K bug was that most computers were not adaptive enough to make the processor turn to 2000 and it would probably reset to 1900. As a result, many systems would break down.

First I gotta say thanks to Andy1 for the incredible render. My names Andy too.

I hope no one gets offended. I just don't believe in global warming. I think the earth may be getting warmer, but I believe thats being caused by natural causes and not gasoline and plastic bags.

Anywho, I worked very very hard on this car and this is the best I could come up with.

EDIT: Download (if anyone wants it)

DataFileHost - 18_Globalwarming_Bullcot.zip

This is for the Bullring COT mod. Comes with merged flat with no numbers so you could put your own on if you want.

The download link doesn't work. Does anyone know where I can download this car?

I took a class on environmental journalism last year, and learned that the vast majority of top scientists accept global warming as a viable explanation to what has been affecting our planet. Don't remember too much else from that class cause it sucked monkey dung.

I'm kind of leaning towards siding with the scientists, considering they actually know what they're talking about. A lot of people I know that dismiss global warming have this type of argument:

"HURR DURR AL GORE MADE IT UP TO MAKE MONEY ITS A DEMOCRATIC PLOT TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD HURR DURR."

Honestly. If you're not educated on the subject at hand don't even try to "educate" others on it. you not only make yourself look stupid, you degrade the entire argument you claim to be standing up for.

That, and you're not going to get all of the "facts" just by watching Fox News all day. The only way to get the facts is to watch all of the news, and take out the bits that every station reports the same.

BWAHAHA, Scientists are so corrupt today by politicism and money it isn't funny. I'm sorry, it's true.

And global warming has been occuring since the middle ages, when we had a small ice age. We have NO 100% SUBSTANTIAL PROOF that we're at fault for the globe warming. Some of our chemicals can cause it, but for all we know it could be a natural cycle.

Maybe you should have tried contacting TheEgg. He's obviously not going to respond here since he is banned. But I've seen him over at the Revamped Reloaded forums...
