Does anyone know what happened to NDG? Normally I visit the site daily to see what new downloads have been posted, but I haven't been on for 3 or 4 days. I went to go there yesterday, but all I got was a white screen. Tried it today, got the same thing. Are they having issues? Upgrading site/server? Have they shutdown? I hope they haven't closed up shop. They have great stuff made by talented people.

Well, that just sucks. I know they had a hold on downloading files about a week back while they were thinking about things. I wonder why. They are the cat's ass in getting bases. Damn.

Got off the merry-go-round not too long ago myself. They (collectively) have some skills putting together bases and whatnot, but the drama was a bit excessive.

Guess we will see how this iteration goes. Dragging the community through that isn't something I'd be impressed with.

Agreed. You got guys like the crew here among others who take the time to create a detailed How-To and practically spell out how to paint a car Barney-style. You don't need much more than that, and a little practice.

Craig is now calling me names over at NDG, obviously he's reading this...guess he got board of reading everyone's PMs the sad little snoop, and since I've said that, let me add that I have a fair amount of evidence that he used my login here to read mine here as well, which is why I resigned as staff over there...silly me used the same login info at both sites, a practice I have changed and one I'd encourage everyone to avoid...

Sorry for muddying up the thread here but folks should know what kind of sick twisted little man he is. He did it at RPD and he does at NDG...just sick and paranoid...

Knew it was bad but damn... that's pretty excessive.

I walked after calling them out on starting stuff here (I think it was about the NXS mod? Honestly I forget) and they got upset about it. Double standards irritate me to no end.

Content loss = bad for the community
Drama loss = good for the community

It's a wash in my book. /rant

EDIT: It was about his Bullring15 comment about people praising Bullring after "dangling a carrot". smh I rest my case on that.

Looks like the mods have gone as far as locking everyone else out of the forums now. They had awesome resources there, but Craig (and to some extent, John) are both really greedy with the site's downloads, seem to hate many useful and worthwhile members of the community for bullshit reasons and feel the need to be rude to whoever they see as a threat to their ego. Like RX84 said, I'm gonna miss all the cool material they had there, but all of the shit-stirring won't be mourned at all. P.S., what a crude and unnecessary comment made by NDG about all of the hard work Danny and the Bullring team put into the truly amazing BR15 mod. Trashing one of the cornerstones of our community doesn't earn you any respect here or anywhere else in this loyal and dedicated NR2003 community.

I hate drama in the community and have always tried to be a force for peace, but I've been violated. Others have too and don't even know it. No pile of downloads is worth having a lowlife trust violating scum like this in the community, there are any number of people in the community that can create as good a base as were being turned out for download on a "here today, maybe tomorrow, and maybe not" based on how much butt smooching is received. No the community is better off having honest, trustworthy, humble sources for materials and what not without the drama that has always been a cornerstone at those two three-letter sites. My hope is that he take his site and disappear from being a blight on the community. No more of his brow beatings for downloads. Our collective dignity deserves much better.

Think about it, you may have sent a PM to another member about something very personal or even something completely superficial, but regardless, he read it. PM by the way is short for "PRIVATE MESSAGE". Someone has forgotten that and is beyond despicable. How can the community as a whole put up with that?

It's time to say good-bye to his ilk.

Unfortunately not every one can. And out of those people who can't 95% of them don't have the will to at least give it a shot.

Now I don't think anyone deserves that. I can only speak for myself but the handful of times I have been there they seemed to be a good bunch with top notch work. I liked going there to see what they had to offer and all the work they put out...even got a few files for myself. But now it appears my account was deleted. I won't lose sleep over it but it was sure a good place for the novice painters.

.... And I am either blind as a bat or Paint by RAH hasn't actually ripped off NDG within the past several years, because I haven't seen any bases that look even remotely ripped from NDG on RAH.....

NOBODY DESERVES TO BE RIPPED FROM. It's flattering to a point, but when you are trying to run a site, it's not appreciated, and YES, I can say for certain RAH ripped work. Compared it myself prior to the revamp of the RAH site.

That is almost besides the point.

It could have been (and was once) a great site that I called home. Aside from the obvious people (I have something of a grudge with the two heads of that site, but I can deal with that in my own time), there were quite a few respectable people around there, like WoofGM, that I still hold much respect for. That being said, I think we should (as a site and community) offer a place here for those who are left S.O.L. by the drama of the NDG site owners. From what I have seen of a few of them, they had a lot skill in both painting and render scenes. Losing up-and-coming talent like that only hurts the community. We should show them the better side of things. Be the group we know we can be, in so many words.

@Highbank - not saying it didn't happen, but accusing someone of accessing your account on another site (when they themselves were VERY adamant about not doing that at NDG) is kind of a big deal. Are you 100% certain? (again, just trying to reasonable)
