I got banned there about 2 years ago for no reason at all.. and I mean their bases were top of the line but other than that and some cars and trucks there was NOTHING good about that site.
Hmh that is interesting to knowI don't believe PBR ripped off NDG. I (oddly enough) have two BRGen6 2015 Kurt Busch Haas Bases. One was from NDG and the other from PBR. Both of them look like they were made by two separate people that started from scratch.
I actually know the owner PBR, he makes his bases from scratch, he's made me two trucks, and he made the bases (Which had never been made before this) from scratch.Hmh that is interesting to know
THAT is what makes me so angry about him...ultimately I know that this thread ended him as a site owner...and for those people whom he treated so poorly, I being one of them, posting here, though it is the ugly side of the community, it turns out being for good, we killed the dragon, no matter what he says, I know we can know that he knew he was busted and skulked away like the slime he has been to so many...go pout, go say "Highbank" is the blame for my site going dark..." well buddy YOU did this to yourself, the only reason it didn't happen sooner is that you banned anyone who would have set you on a straighter path...and I'm glad to have been part of your site going dark, actually it's always been dark, I just shut off the light.Sometimes he treated people that didn't do a thing wrong so bad. I wish I had done something![]()
Chances are one of them was mine, NDG released another. There was other bases that I did in fact see that were verbatim copies.I don't believe PBR ripped off NDG. GAME-SET-MATCH!
Yes Yes Yes this sums it up perfectlyOp/ed rant...
It's sad anytime a sim racing site closes down, especially one that produces and distributes quality content. However, when the site owner/content creator so blatantly place themselves ahead of the community they serve and claim to care about, we are better off without them. I never understood why the "here today, gone tomorrow, back the next" deal kept happening with the downloads there. It's easy to understand the frustration with people like Rah and Platto ripping everybody's work, but it's just as easy to accept the fact that once you post something publicly, you might not like how another person uses it. The internet is a big ass place, and not everybody is going to respect you or your work. That's not an excuse for ripping, it's a statement of fact. It happens in every walk of life. Grow up and get used to it. Playing yo-yo games with your forum members because you can't control the end-user is a good way to fail. It shows me that the community isn't the priority. It's bad for your website when your most viewed and commented threads are gripe threads about the people who've done you wrong. If it's that big a deal to you, stop posting your content, or find a new hobby and quit clouding this one up with your unnecessary drama. Enforcing a post count to access features isn't unheard of, but then having posts merged or deleted, or judged on their length and merit is questionable. Banning groups of people, based solely on what other sites they frequent or contribute to is complete bullshit. Guilt by association is some kindergarten logic. I've personally dealt with both of those from NDG in the last couple of years, and I'm not hurt at all to see them go. We can set a better precedent for the younger generation of sim racers and designers without the bickering and selfishness that's happened there. Don't worry about content lost with NDG's closing. Plenty of us can paint bases. Alan's pouring his time and effort into tutorials to show that anybody can reproduce what's on the track with a little practice and patience. The older guys there, Woof and Ken S. and a couple others, those who've always been contributing will continue to do so I'm sure, and will probably see more reach for their content when it's hosted elsewhere.
Rant over![]()
I can see where they're coming from, but if they open back up and still cause drama, they're going to end up in the same position they're in now. They need to either ignore the drama and focus more on content or leave the sim racing community entirely.Chances are one of them was mine, NDG released another. There was other bases that I did in fact see that were verbatim copies.

I thinks it's going be hard with all this information coming out.they might be rebuilding...
