I just read that Craftsman will no longer sponsor the Trucks series after the 08 season, what is the world coming to? No more Winston Cup, no more Busch Series, no more Craftsman Trucks!!

Wow. What is this world coming to? The Busch series was Grand National, but then it was just Busch...and only known as Busch. Now it's Nationwide, which doesn't really roll off of the tounge as easily.

It's the same with the truck series. They are Craftsman Trucks. Anything else would just sound ridiculous....though, that's what we said about Winston Cup, and now that sort of sounds weird to say...

With all the old guys in the series how about Depends or Dentu-Cream?

I'm just rippin' 'em here, CTS is my favorite series.

It's a shame to see Sears Craftsman leave the series. Just like the Busch Series, Craftsman is the only title sponsor that series has ever seen.

However, also like the Busch Series, the Truck Series will most certainly continue under a different title sponsor. Who wouldn't want to sponsor the Truck Series? It consistently has the most competitive racing in NASCAR, and is the only major NASCAR Series whose TV ratings are actually going UP!

With great racing in every race, a terrific battle for the championship every year without the need for a Chase, and SPEED putting everything it has in presenting the Truck Series, Craftsman is leaving a terrific opportunity out there for a company looking to get into NASCAR.

"??? Truck Series" and SPEED

Don't get me started on the SPEED Channel. Around here, unless you get a premium cable (or satellite) package, ya don get no SPEED. Drives me crazy. Not to mention about 50 percent of people can't afford 70 -90 buckos a month to het high end programming. In some areas you can ADD Speed for $10.00 more a month. Bottom line is many race fans miss out on a LOT of racing, NASCAR trucks included. Grrrrr

Off the subject a bit, sorry. How about the MATCO TRUCK SERIES? They could probably afford to sponsor, and would probably sell a boatload of tools as well. MATCO, the OFFICIAL TOOLS OF NASCAR. Has a nice sound to it, doncha think? Do NOT try to fix your springboard, boat or bowling alley with MATCO tools! Anyway, better than the VAGI-CLEAN TRUCK SERIES...OMG... Somebody slap me....

^ Last I checked, you can switch to DirecTV with no equipment costs (free dish and receivers), have it installed free, and then the channel package is something like $40/month, and that includes SPEED.

The setup I have here has no HD or DVRs since they were upcharges, but does have 4 TVs w/ the satellite programming & DirecTV's basic lineup. Monthly cost is in the $40-50/month area. Quite manageable considering I'm getting channels like SPEED, NFL Network, NBA TV, FOX Business, et al.

what's wrong with that? Imagine that Hendrick Motorsports owned every single car in the Sprint Cup Series. That's what the Truck Series would be like if Chevy sponsored it.
