As per ESPN reporter Darren Rovell's twitter, Press Pass, a longtime NASCAR trading card manufacturer, has ceased operations.

That's too bad but it seems that's the way trading cards are headed

There were Nascar trading cards? Wow, I had no idea. That probably has something to do with how/why they're out of business.

Doesn't bother me any.

I used to be an avid hockey card collector for many years, but I'm not a fan at all of where the industry is today (sports card collecting in general). I hate seeing game-used memorabilia sliced up into little 1x1 squares and sandwiched in the cards. Aside from being a memorabilia collector, I'd just rather these relics be kept in-tact to preserve the history of the sport.

That being said, its not quite as bad when it comes to NASCAR cards with tires or sheetmetal, since theres a lot more of it, but I still don't like seeing that stuff cut up (especially the firesuits).
